I have been boycotting GameStop for years. Ever since they sold a copy of a game I pre-ordered. In light of these new revelations, maybe they didn't "sell" it.
Yeah right I would like to see them make broadband less expensive. And for their next trick, they can pull a white rabbit out of their ass. We live in an age where likes of Comcast can bundle their service for $100 a month, and make it sound like it's a deal. $100 fuckin' dollars, that's a lot of money.

That was stupid of them. I, as well as countless others who used file front before, have moved all the files I had hosted there to another location in anticipation of the close. I don't plan to now move back after all the work I did to leave.

So I went to the linked article. Still didn't make sense. Especially the phrase "computers that are powered on but not in use." Then I went into the report the story is based on and it finally made sense. According to the report, 50% of people do not turn their computers when they leave work. So the computer stays on all night, or all weekend. Well those people are just fuckin' retarded.
I just moved there from RapidShare to store some stuff after I found out RapidShare now deletes file after x amount of downloads (I think 10). And now I have to move again. Sure it wasn't perfect, but it was FREE as in BEER.
And I'm not entirely against using Darwinian tactics to weed out the computer clueless form the internet. If you can't figure out what link is the actual download link, then maybe you shouldn't have the file.
