There are some settings you can only set in the CCC now. It sounds like within 2 years the old one will be gone. Better get used to that slow montrosity.
Probably when they re-entered the lunar lander module after being out on the surface. From what I understand, dust still on the suits worked it's way inside the craft.
There are lots of local bands played here in Seattle on the clearchannel stations. Perhaps Seattle is just unique in that, but I suspect that local bands get far more coverage than you think.
Even on my 3200+, a large map with 10 computers isn't the fastest thing. About the time Gunpowder shows up, there are enough units moving around to definitely slow things down a little. I want to try a Huge map with 16 civs, but I'm afraid it'll be too slow.
Take a look at NoScript. It allows you to set up acls, allowing for instance javascript for gmail, but disabled for everything else. It'll also block java, flash, other plugins, etc.
The only problem I've seen with it is a tendency to wipe my acls upon upgrading to a new version, but I imagine that'll be fixed.
Portage uses what is known as ebuilds. You can think of them as much evolved.spec files. One of the things the ebuild does is point at the source_uri, which is where to get the files involved in building whatever package you're trying to install. For the most part, those are tarballs of the source, in order to extract, compile and install said package. Sometimes though, there are binary-only packages which are distributed in RPM format, so the source_uri points at an RPM. However, rpm2targz is used upon these, so saying that Portage relies upon RPM files is like saying Windows relies upon Zip files. Software may be distributed in that format, but it's just a wrapper to get to the juicy insides.
Anyone spending more than 100k on an item is asking to get ripped off. With the 100plat limit on the trade screen, doing more requires two trades, and is just ripe for abuse.
Now if you were trading that item for 100k and 10 ecto, then sure, that's one way of doing it.
That's the people I work with, but swap Linux for Solaris. They can't do shit with Windows, and don't want to learn how, they just like bitching when they can't figure out how to do something. They point at Solaris, and say it works perfectly, but of course they spent the last 10 years working with it, and learning how to use it.
Bandwidth is probably at least 25 cents per song. I've no idea what sizes the typical iTunes song is, but if you figure 5-10 cents a megabyte for bandwidth, a 3 meg song sucks up 15-30 cents.
Just so you know, the Ring civ corruption thing was fixed in Conquests. The developers stated that it's definitely a bug, and fixed it.
Also, granaries allow 4 turn settler farms in Despotism, 2 turn farms with railroads, and 1 turn farms with Longevity. The classic 4 turn settler pump requires 5 food and 7.5 shields per turn for 4 turns. It's generally easier to do 6/6/8/8 for shields, or even 6/6/7/7 with a forest in there for the extra 4 shields at expansion. Size goes from either 4-6 or 5-7, with the settler dropping it back down to start the cycle all over again.
I only play on Monarch/Emperor, and it's fairly easy to get a tech lead by the end of the middle ages. Depending on my civ, I might even have a tech lead from the start. Map type/size also factors in quite heavily, on a Pangea, it's easier to fall behind at the start, because the AI will be trading more, earlier. With Continents, if you can find the other continents(s) first, it's trivial to get a lead by trading, and then maintain it by selling tech at high rates to the other civs. My current game I'm wrapping up (heading for a space victory), I'm researching Robotics, while there are two civs researching Fission, and one civ still working on Replaceable Parts. I'm playing Spain, which is not at all a high-research civ, and I'm still doing quite nicely, mostly by early tech brokering.
Not really, it's more likely that Skype has backdoors into the conversation anyways, so the NSA has no need to break the encryption, they just use the keys and decrypt it.
GW doesn't work so well for me with the latest version of Cedega. If I run it in a window, it's slow as hell, completely unplayable (2-3fps). If I play in full screen, it's perfect, but crashes within a minute.
What kernel, version of Cedega, video card and video card driver version are you using?
Hell, they didn't even offer shop class anymore when I was in high school, and that was less than 10 years ago.
We made $4.8mil US on Monday, $5.6mil US on Tuesday. Seems to me like they should call it Cyber Tuesday.
Worst. Movie. Ever.

You're lucky if that's the only problem you've had. You must not work for a manger who gets a woody thinking about Microsoft Project.

Unless of course, said malware is sniffing all your keyboard traffic, looking for that magic "su - " command.

Funny, one of the beers made by a local microbrew here is a coffee stout, called "Wide Awake Drunk". Quite tasty, if rather strong.
It's sold up here in Seattle :) Even regular restaurants carry it sometimes, hell I've seen taps of it at Red Robin of all places.

Tubgirl is far worse...
That's the reason I haven't tried it out yet, the IMO, awful names.
Thanks for the link, I'll try getting that working on my htpc.

Exactly why they do it. A big first quarter means a lot to Wall Street.

Who/What is ADM, and how are they evil?
