Sort of reminiscent of the "nobody ever got fired for buying IBM" line, isn't it?

I think it has a lot to do with summer actually. I suspect a lot of the readers who get the opportunity to moderate are probably not logging in right now and therefore theirmoderation points are expiring.
Either that, or their overclocked CPU's are overheating.
One of the best things I liked about Workbench (the windowing interface) was the way that application menus were hidden until you pressed the right mouse button, and they always appeared in the same place (top of the screen, ala Mac).
But most of all I liked the way you could make multiple menu selections by keeping the right mouse button selected, and clicking on multiple menu items with the left mouse button. I haven't seen any other windowing interface pick up this feature, and it was really neat.
I also remember my first Hard Disk for my A500 - it was 10MB (yes MB), SCSI, and cost me over AUS$1000:(
There has been just one thing stopping me from using Thunderbird as my main email client.
I use IMAP, and my server automatically sorts my incoming emails into different folders.
Unfortunately, for some reason the Thunderbird folder view doesn't accurately reflect the number of unread email's I have in any folders besides the Inbox, until I actually click on that folder. Which means you have to manually click through every folder to see if you have any new emails in them - most annoying (and in my case with a large number of folders across multiple accounts - unworkable).
If anyone has a solution for this it would be appreciated, and Thunderbird will take pride of place as my main email client.
I did this last weekend as well, and discovered that it broke yum and up2date! Since the/core/2/ directory was still not available on the servers or mirrors. I got round this temporarily by hardwiring my yum configuration to use the 1.92 directory (to allow me to install a couple of packages directly over the net).

Actually the Qur'an bans "khamar" - any substance that intoxicates, whether it be alcohol, drugs, whatever. And selling anything that does the same is also prohibited. It has nothing to do with the substance that the intoxicant is derived from.
One other feature of the Amiga I always liked was the ability to do multiple selections in menus. The menu is brought up by using the right mouse button, which you hold down, then go to different menu items and click the left mouse button to select/deselect multiple items... it alleviated the need for lots of dialog boxs all over the place - in Amiga applications most of the options were available from the menu bar.
We once had a manager who complained that there weren't enough blinking lights in the computer room - so we went a bought some Christmas lights and hung them up in the rack. Did the trick!
Au contrare, in the preview, which is the 4.5 minute bit tacked on to the end of the first movie since about March, there is a clear shot of Treebeard (he blinks as one of the hobbits hangs on to him).
The trailer, which was just released, doesnt have it tho.
I wonder to what extent the ents will actually feature in the TT movie tho..
Do not underestimate the power of the reverse side of the laptop screen.
would that be the "dark side"?
Just install Windows on it, malware than 95% of the population don't detect.

or if the keys could automatically switch between the alphabet and command mode functions in vi.
It will probably cost four times the amount of just buying two television sets to begin with.
No, this is the result of sitting with a G5 powerbook on your lap.

I think God has prior art on this one..
Or how in Australia, it's not illegal to own a Radar detector in some states, just illegal to have one on your posession whilst in your car..
The installation wizard has improved greatly from past installers that Windows 2000 and XP had.
That's excellent, since that's the application I use the most when using Windows on my PC...

In Australia, at least, it is compulsory to vote.
No wonder I've been putting on weight!

I'm an American, and I'm proud to be one - if only because my standard of living is above most of the rest of the world.
So let me get this right - you're proud that the rest of the world is going to pot while America sucks up all their resources?

What happened on the 9th of November?
