Cell Phones are not for the super-elite anymore. I managed to get a rather expensive phone (Reguarly $400, or so they claim) for $50. And those pre-paid phones? Dirt cheap. Any kid who's desperate enough will find measures to circumvent their parents. All it takes is a job burger-flipping. Or, if you're a gamer, pawning off some of your games every now and then. Money is not that hard to come by in small quantities if you're willing to make the sacrifice.

Please notice the "With similar upgrades (Including a new CPU)" part. He didn't even give the specs of these so-called "2002-vintage" computers. I'm running on a 1.7 ghz P4, 768 MB RAM, and a Radeon 9200. My CPU usage, according to the CPU usage tracker they helpfully laid onto the desktop was stuck at 100%. Without Aero, I might add. Granted, something might have changed since Beta 2, but I highly doubt it. This IS MS we're talking about here.

I own the game, and I can indeed testify that the battles play out by themselves, without any interaction from me. The gameplay, in my experience, is this: "Move from point A to point B. Watch cutscene, Learn location of point C. Move to point C. Boss fight, make minor changes to Gambits, watch boss fall over, repeat." Everyone else may like it, but I don't. There's only one problem. There's Wii kiosks in most EBs. There have been for about a week or so now. Maybe longer. PS3 kiosks? None, to my (Fairly limited) knowledge. Granted, I don't care too much for any of them right now. I'll wait for a killer app to show up that surpasses Gears. If Gears is not beaten in 6 months, I'm getting a 360.

I had the same experience yesterday. If what you're looking for isn't the next GTA, Zelda, whatever the hell is popular with the kids these days, they don't give a damn about it, and will probably not get a copy of said game unless you preorder. Needless to say, Gamestop/EB isn't getting my business from here on. (Note: The game in question was Super Robot Taisen OG 2. Demand it at your local EB/GS, and make them squirm because they didn't get any copies.)

And whoever Rascal Flatts is. Thankfully, My Chemical Romance isn't on there, either. Three Day's Grace? Nope. Not on there. Some guy from SNL?! He's not a musician! My point: People love this game, are not afraid to admit it, and don't need to be paid off to do so.
