Scarifice was flawed in certain aspects, but the gameplay and story more than made up for any minor issues. On the whole, I found the game to be bug free, relatively balanced and a joy to play through (3 times actually).
Perhaps it's because the PC has always been my primary game platform, but I simply am unwilling to pay a fee to game online. I see this as nothing more than a way to have a sustained monthly income for Sony and M$.
Most love affairs come and go, but a few always remain dear to the heart. I think the thief series will always be my weak point though. I love the fact that it requires patience, strategy and foresight. My deepest hope is that someone makes a thief game on the scale of GTA. An open city with a myriad of oddities could work so well.. *sighs*
How is there anything good for consumers when it comes to ingame advertising? It doesn't lower price of the product and it (normally) detracts from the experience. Take the TV show Smallville for example. Last night, they did an extremely obvious product placement. It hurt the flow of the program, made the actors break character and didn't reduce the amount of comercials shown. So who is this good for?
I agree 100%. It's obvious that the author has never had the unfortunate experience of a loved one who suffers from this horrible condition. To watch someone go from a vibrant, caring person to a hollow shell that doesn't recognize her own children is a terrible thing. Please understand that I'm not insulted by the statement. I'm glad that he/she has never known that kind of pain.
At least two Circuit City locations and one Best Buy that I visited over the weekend to check out plasma tvs. Granted it's north-west Indiana, but it's still withing 30-45 minutes of Chicago.
I put this on the level of the NHL striking for a full year. It hurts your profits, damages your customer relations, and costs the trust of your fans. Way to go WoC!
I'm the sole IT support for a manufacturing company. I meet once a week with the managers and key staff in order to update them on the projects that I have running as well as to assign tasks that need to be done. It's certainly feasible to meet with each one on their own and convey what I need done, but that would take quite longer than a 45 minute meeting. Not all meetings are pointless wastes of time. Maybe it's just the way that your company runs them.
I think the issue that is not covered is that companies are now expected to make certain profit margins. If they don't, their stock tanks and so do they. I realize the old saying is true. "Either you're growing or you're dying." This however, does not mean you need to maintain a 20% growth rate every single year.
I can't be the only who is astounded by the cost of the next gen consoles. I for one will be purchasing a Revolution (and only a Revolution) if it $200 or less. I simply can not justify spending $400 or more on what boils down to a toy.
Don't misunderstand me; I see all of the features that the 360 and PS3 are going to have. I'm just not interested.
1. Music player = CD/Ipod/ect 2. Online gaming = PC 3. Movie player = I bought a DVD player for $50, I'll do the same for the next dominant format.
I do play Halo with a few friends when we get together, but more often than not; we end up throwing in Time Splitters 2 (with customized maps) or Mario Kart.
We don't even require innovative ways to play the games. I'd simply like to see new story lines and characters. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System hardly added anything new in game play, but it had believable characters that were simply entertaining. It's a sad fact that the marketting budget will often weigh heavily on a games success.
Just because someone holds to a belief and will not compromise it does not mean that they are fanatical lunatic as you imply. It is possible for intelligent people to disagree. Perhaps you should follow the Islamic principals and actually learn about those around you before you challenge them.
You accuse Christians of trying to change you and you're obviously very upset by that. By the same arguement, you would be attempting to change them by saying that evolution is more valid than ID. In my opinion, this falls under the same social graces of the giving/receiving of 'holiday' greetings. Accept the fact that other people can differ from you with grace and the world is a better place.

The actual ruling was that it could not be taught in a science class. It said nothing about theology or sociology. I find the anti religion sentiment that's been becoming more pervasive more than a little disturbing.
I was so happy to see this marked as flamebait. Why is it so difficult for some people (on both sides) to debate an issue without resorting to namecalling? I'm not advocating either stance, I'm simply stating that this is a discussion board.
I wish they'd rerelease some of the old Dos games like Stonekeep, Crusader 1&2, Acendancy, ect. I do have a 486 box that I still use for games like that, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to find old hardware at a reasonable price. I've also looked into dosbox, but it's never quite the same.
Not really all that shocking considering the XBox only sold 10,000 units. I can't be the only who thinks $400 is way too much money to pay for a console. I certainly won't be looking at any of the next gen machines until they hit around $150-200.
I agree, everything that is dangerous needs to be outlawed. Booze, smoking, driving, flying, sugar, chocolate, fat, salt, electricity, and gaming all have obvious detrimental effects to our mental and physical well being. Just to be on the safe side, we should probably ban fire too...

Since when did enjoy == screw the customer for every last dime?

You're assuming the person calling has some common sense or respect for others.
What about Conker's Bad Fur Day?

Greatest Franchises? I don't think two decent FPS's make it Zelda or Sonic.

Actually, there are several communities in Illinois that have made it illegal to leave decorations up for more than 60 days past the holiday.
Shadowshawk
We all know that it wasn't created.. it evolved from Bill's loins.
