Even though the idea is rather diturbing, just think of the people that are in New Orleans. It is a good thing for those who have businesses open, though a few but will grow, and families that don't have telephone up yet. At least they can get news and communicate with people. At least the equipment was also donated and not bought with funds for rebuilding/rescue.
SO when I make an MP3 to put on my PDA to listen to at work, is that considered a cyber crime? And technically, what makes a drug a drug? What about perscription, cigarettes, alcohol? Those are all mind altering and bad for you. I also bet its all the druggies out there that are commiting cybercrimes so they can get more money for drugs.
Question: Does a watchpot really never boil? No really, does it? Ok, I have no question but, thank you for creating a great show that the whole family can watch. Its hard to find a show that doesn't have sex and cussing everytime you turn around. Not to mention the countless myths that even I thought was true (Espically a more current one about driving your truck with your tailgate down, never again for me).
I wonder if the RIAA would be happy to have Sony's rootkit on all their computers? Perhaps the RIAA computer systems should be used as test beds to make sure future Rootkits are secure or is it "Sure, its a good thing, just don't put it on my computer".
Dodged a bullet there. I thought they would be popular titles people would auctually buy. I sure feel sorry for those couple hundred people that have the rootkit on their system from buying the CD.
I would use an Ad-Supported version of Windows if it was free to me. Plus with the hacking community as strong as it is, a patch would be found within no time at all and voila...Ad-Free Windows for Free.
First, check to see if you have the restore point enabled. Also, if you have 1.25gb ram, turn off virtual memory. Turn those off and try hibernate if you haven't already tried it.
If you take into consideration that God wrote every book in the bible through the hands of men, why does a man think he can deem something right or wrong. The organization called the Catholic Church was created a couple hundred years after the death of Christ. But didn't Christ's death ratify his new covenant? Christ created his church. The fact that many so-called churches exist today is the failure of man and his stubborness to realize he is doing wrong.
In Galations vs 8 and 9, it says:
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
If any man has changed the words of God either by adding to or taking away from the bible, he has done what was spoken against in the two verses above in Galations. So, if God says that he made life in the glimmer of his eye, this he made life in the glimmer of his eye. If little Johnny asks where life came from, I would say that God created life. If he asks how he did that, I would say that I don't know. The bible tells us what we need to know to prepare us for Heaven and in Heaven is where we will be let known the things we do not know here on earth. Consider earth your proving grounds. You fail here, you don't get the reward of heaven.
I personally am the kind of person that enjoys having the best of the best in my computer. However, since I purchased my latest equipment at the beginning of the summer, i haven't even looked at all the new hardware. I have reached a point where my computer is so powerful that nothing can really halter its performance to a noticable level. As for gaming, I own a 6800GT. I got it on the first day it was available, but I didn't pay the $400+ price tag. I worked at CompUSA and got it on day 1 for $300. Word to the wise, find someone that works at an electronics store, befriend them and have them buy you a video card with their discount. Chances are you will save in excess of $100. And one more thing, F.E.A.R. runs great on my 6800GT with rather inpressive graphics. No, its not 1600x1200, but its high enough to make me happy, and thats hard to do with computer performance. And I agree with several of your replies, don't spend a lot on a video card unless you are 1) crazy like me 2) have money to blow 3) want to keep your system for 5+ years and don't to upgrade. From what I hear, Windows Vista will be rather graphically demanding.
The land is so enormous and the enemies are spread out a little too far. Graphically, its not the most beautiful game I have ever seen, but its done in a way where you don't notice the graphics so much. Movement is great and the game play is fun. Just not enough enemies.
I think FreeBSD should buy some more bandwidth if a simple/. of their image takes down their website. Or is it just me who can't open any of the links in the post.
I remember the first Serious Sam. It was fun. The type of game where you can play, go on vacation for two weeks and come back and remember what you were doing...running...shooting...shooting...running... shooting. Pretty basic. As for F.E.A.R., its more of a story line game with incredable graphics, audio and physics that keeps you hooked. You find yourself thinking of the game when you're not playing it. Though they are both FPS, they are two totally different kind of FPS games. Personally, I like the F.E.A.R. type of game more because I can dedicate more time to playing it. But in four months when my wife has our baby, I will probably either abondon games for a while or take up a game like Serious Sam 2 because its not the "constantly play me" kind of game. I guess them also means my World of Warcraft account may be put on hold for a while. This makes me sad. Very sad. Poor little gnome mage:*(
This could also be used for other good things such as in the classroom. A teacher might load up a broadcast for students to watch or could download it the night before (unless only available as streaming) and burn it to play the next day. Maybe I would like to save a peticular days news because something of importance was on and I want to keep it for future viewing or memories. To watch it just to watch it on the internet, it will probably fail. I think I would get tired of it after the second or third "buffering" pause. Its just yet another reason I bought a DVR.
Don't forget though that not every family in other countries have computers. Not every house has a computer let alone electricity. Now I am not saying every country is a third world country, but other countries wages are a lot lower than ours thus meaning less coumputers in housholds. Also, as mentioned already, these countries are much smaller. I have Charter Cable internet at home and I can guarantee that if every other person within one mile of me were to get off the internet, mine would speed up dramatically. Perhaps these other countries internet users are spread out a lot more and not having to share as much bandwidth and simply have less users. As for the internet here in the states. I would much rather pay forty bucks for cable internet than twenty bucks for dial-up AOL. I would rather pay a hundred bucks for cable internet than AOL anything. And one other thing. These countries infrastructure is also a lot different than ours. We have to deal with wiring that is significantly older than other countries. And to run new cabling (i.e. fiber optic) it takes a lot of money to remove old cabling without disrupting current communications. This is one reason VoiP isn't as big as it could be like in China. China's infrastructure is a lot newer than ours and because technology was being talked about when they were building theirs, they were able to plan ahead. When ours was build, internet wasn't even a word in the dictionary.
Thank you. I too am a Christian and feel the same as what you said.
So how much for the seven channels I watch? And don't even think of charging me for local channels. Those are broadcast for free.

Do you get your money back if the image starts to get blurry or stretch apart? What if it dies?
Yes, I figured it did since I too have watch a pot start to boil. But hey, I am not very imaginative in the morning.
I sure love my bluetooth and just transfer any song I want to my phone....charge free. Long live P2P!!!!

Buy a tivo, mod it, and download the shows to your computer and burn. Voila. No .99c each and you get to watch it in a DVD player.
I don't think I would kill someone for selling my Glowing Brightwood Staff, but I might resort to old time punishment for theft. Off with his hand!!!

Novice is for n00bs, and in my book, does not exist.

So exactly where are they getting the original DNA to match with?

Seems hubble is doing something useful every time you turn around. And NASA says the Hubble Telescope needs to be retired.

Gotta love a government website that won't let you use your back button.
