Setup the NDR delivery to cc the postmaster. That'll force him to block those emails during the session rather than letting them get through. Let's face it; if you're getting too many NDRs, you are accepting email from illegitimate sources that need to be blocked. It will stop the joe-jobs and allow the legitimate NDRs to continue. I'm gonna build my own RFC 2821, with hookers and blackjack.
I'm running Backup Exec v9.x and it is rock solid, unless you want more than backup from an advanced agent for exchange (individual email level) a SQL agent (grabs SQL whole - not so advanced and I don't use it cause it's too expensive) and a fairly decent SMB agent (which I use). The new vulnerability every day sucks hard so I protect it like a bubble boy (No Internet access whatsoever). I would appreciate anyone recommending a better product that has MS compatible agents with granular control. Anyone? Okay... I'll stick with my piece of crap that works.
I work in IT (medical industry). I had about 70 Maxtor drives in the field. They were mostly 40 and 80 drives, with a few 20s and 120s. 56 of them failed near the warranty. Some were covered and I used the replacements they sent. Now those are failing. I was replacing them with Seagate drives (including the 14 that still worked), but now that Seagate bought Maxtor I am switching to my favorite drives, Samsung. Samsung has the fewest failures I've ever seen (2 out of every 100), even back to my 4.3 Giggers. Whenever someone tells me they like Maxtor drives, I truly believe that they only own one or two. I will never trust any Maxtor drive. Good luck.
I agree! I don't trust Time Warner and/or Cox (I'm on Cox) so I don't use their DNS servers anyway. I expect no less from these ISPs. If you are using their DNS, you must actually want them to do this for you. This is only to protect Internet Joe who doesn't know what DNS is! Hell, I remember when 4.2.2.2 resolved to something like i.will.not.steal.dns.service.from.gtei.com. If kiddies are using DNS for bots, let's use it against them! You can always run your own DNS and get your updates from the root 13. Those 13, of course, should be left alone.
Wow. Quite a few belligerent posts. Microsoft has a lot of patents. No one knows how or even if this will be implemented. Microsoft is less than perfect but FUD goes both ways. I expect nothing less from posters who don't understand the difference between publishing and assigning in Active Directory. I dumped Novel years ago. I haven't regretted it for one second. Goodbye karma.
where I get my as-advertised 6Mbit for $38 (not including fees). The 12Mbit is available, but it's $54 (not including fees). I figure I'll offer to pay for the 12Mbit plan when they threaten to cut me off for exceeding my bandwidth. One HD movie at 720p can be 4 or 8 gigs. The 1080i stuff is large.
What state are you in? My power bill is $40 but only $22 is actual consumption. I have turned everything off and still received a bill for $18 with no consumption. It's payment for the privilege of having the ability to get electricity. I also get a credit of $14 dollars for being overcharged in the Enron fiasco. Without the discount my bill would be $54 (it used to be). I live in California. I will NEVER get a $16 power bill. BTW I turned off a 24 hour system (350 Watt) and my power bill decreased by $1.85.
So, this is sold as a desktop computer that takes up less space. Why? Is a mid-tower too large for iPeople? I avoid mobile technology for my office because I don't want low power consumption, a lightweight system, or better battery life. I want upgradeability and speed. So is the benefit of this system simply to save space, have fewer wires, and look sleek? Even the mini-Mac is a mobile chipset. Are the Micro LGA 775 boards just too damn big for designing a Mac around? If I want a Centrino system, it'll be my laptop or a tablet. Am I totally off on this or do I upgrade my systems too often?
Humans are notoriously inaccurate. I know people that have mistaken many observances. I put the lack of objective observation on the same level as believing in god, which covers the vast majority of humans on this planet.

I was serious when I said I own a Newton. I stick by my original post. I simply cannot understand how anyone could possibly find it useful. I've tried to use it. I think it is crap. That web site seems to be filled with Apple fanatics trying to justify ownership. Have you ever heard the term Cult? Oh, shit! I forgot I'm posting about an Apple product. Sorry. My bad.

I agree. The author is condoning fraud and should be taken down. I purchase 10K worth of stuff from Dell each year and although I scream at their tech support for being idiots about twice a year, they still offer a great deal. If you intentionally rip people off, you are a criminal. If you tell other people that it is okay to intentionally rip people off, you are also a criminal. The article should be called - How to be a burden to society.
Why did this get modded up? Does the_rajah think that computers running Linux can handle power fluctuations better than Windows boxen? Is it insightful to think that Linux on the ISS would have been provided by the Russians with a more apt power supply? Perhaps modding Funny would be more appropriate. Does anyone know what OS is (was) actually running on these computers? I know. I know... Welcome to Slashdot. I don't mind bashing Windows, but not just for the sake of bashing.
That really is ignorant. Like, people that don't understand assembly language shouldn't be using a BIOS in the first place, or, people that don't understand mechanics shouldn't be driving a car in the first place. I doubt you know anything about design. Why else would you make such an ignorant statement? Try this on for size... People who can't post grammatically coherent English shouldn't be posting on Slashdot in the first place.
You need to see benchmark results of RAID hardware vs. software performance? Where am I? Is this Slashdot? Who the fuck in their right mind thinks software is faster than hardware? To get back on topic, good RAID hardware is expensive, RAID software sucks, and hard drives are cheap. My PVR/Media Centre uses large drives for storage with large drives for backup. It is cheaper than RAID, easier to implement, and easier to maintain. Writing a backup script takes a few minutes. A good RAID solution is for mission critical systems that cannot afford downtime. Is your wife going to cut your balls off if your home-brewed tivo is offline for a day? If yes, I suggest a $1,200 RAID 5 solution with DLT and Iron Mountain.
Human beings are so stupid. I am embarrassed to be one. Nietzsche thought it would take humans another 200 years before we got religion out of our system. I think he was right. We have another hundred years to go.
