Well technically it could run faster. The question is, does the game look exactly the same? I'm not too familiar with all this, but I would suspect not all the effects utilized in DirectX can be carbon copied into OpenGL (especially without a lot of effort).
It's kind of odd how everybody is jumping on the AMD train when Intel is finally having viable products with their new architecture (For instance, Dell finally jumping on board).

You want to hear about frustration? I just downloaded SLED10 RC3 two days ago. There was only a 5CD version, and I only had DVDs (couldn't get makeSUSEDVD to work correctly). To save on DVDs, I used my single rewriteable DVD to burn each CD one at a time during the installation (yes, two floors of walking in between). Oh well, at least it was good exercise.
Opera can't really have a specialized "built-in" adblocking mechanism in my opinion. Not because they can't implement it, but because they would probably end up getting their browser banned on sites that depend (however wise) on ad revenue. Heck, isn't that the reason the current implementation is called a Content Blocker, not an Ad Blocker? Firefox can have an Adblock extension because it is a third-party extension. So essentially, Opera needs a better third party plugin system if people want a better adblocking system (so ad companies can't blame Opera).
I think it's bound to happen if AMD can't muster enough resources to continue competing that they will need help. And no, I doubt AMD buying ATI will do much of anything. It seems AMD will have to be bought by IBM if they want the same deep pockets necessary to compete with Intel. They already work together, so it's definitely possible. I don't see how AMD can possibly do more for every bit of money than Intel forever.
How big of a shake-up is this exactly? How high up the ladder is the:
1. Corporate Vice President
2. of Windows Live and MSN
3. Marketing
I would say he is a couple rungs down if him working with Steve Ballmer is mentioned like it is a life achievement.
I think it all comes down to battery technology. We don't have the battery tehnology to make something like Origami really useful yet. IMO, it needs to have at least 8 hours of battery life at the minimum.
I wouldn't say that. The Australians could have known more about the game, but it is still up to the skill of the players. If you wanted to know who knew more about the game, you would have Australian programmed robots vs. Brazilian programmed robots.

How about the actual disk access? A single hard drive has yet to even be able to max out even ATA-133 transfer rates, nonetheless SATA150 or SATA300.
