    I concur with your understanding of the text.

    In reference thereof: I know that methylation is part of the regulation of gene expression. I just keep wondering if the increased methylation is normal for changed expression-patterns of genes as we switch from growing to maturity. If so, methylation should not be coupled to aging, but to maturing.

    Sorry if my english is not up to scratch.

    APL was the main language in our introduction course "bio-informatics" at university (early nineties).
    I vaguely remember a keyboard overlay, lots of matrix calculations and lots of complaining why we didnt do a "normal" language like pascal.
    Never used it since...

    I don't agree. The balance board gives you feedback about the exercise. It shows you if you use to much force or warns you if your balance is not correct. If you handle a person a pamphlet, you run the risk of him screwing up the exercise so much he can injure himself. It is not only motivation. An earlier post mentioned that the Wii fit equipment should be paid for by the government, but not the wii itself. That seems to be a good compromise.

    I Agree. Most games I played were English, which improved my English grade considerably (I'm Dutch). My vocabulary was a bit unusual, though. Not many kids at 12 used words like grue, "lantern of everburn" or "twisty passages all alike"

    Yes, I'm one of those people who still prefer to buy games as dvd/cd, mainly because I want to avoid giving out credit card/PayPal information, when I do not have to.

    I agree. When you cut down on calories your metabolism drops. I'm not sure about metabolizing muscle though

    What's worse is that you find how much energy it costs to maintain a good mood.
    It kills your motivation to keep up your diet.

    I live nextdoor to Germany, in the Netherlands, and here airconditioning in homes is not very common. I assume it's the same in Germany.
    It can be hot, of course, but never for very long. "Airco" is considered to be a luxery. And hot water is still needed in the summer.

    Just be sure not to install such a system near your carefully stored wines in the cellar.

    you would be well to worry about any bacteria getting near your batteries. If the viral particles decide to infect en multiply on a convenient bacteria that strayed on your batteries you might get more voltage then you bargained for.....

    I use a special full spectrum light to keep me from going into involuntary hibernation in winter. It is really bright, especially in the morning, and not alway very pleasant. If only blue light is enough from 2.5 to 7 lux it might be a good alternative to prevent burning and tired eyes before the days begins. It makes you wonder what biological basis there is for blue light to set circadian rythm.

    It also helps when you consider the layout of your eMail carefully. It has happened several times now that users come complaining that our mailserver tags their mail as spam. When investigating the eMail it is virtual in distinguishable from real spam. Some users even think that spam-layout and tricks to fool rulebased anti-spam programs is a "standard" for advertising, and things like obfuscating words are "Cool". (Really, I'm not joking)

    I was almost tempted to do just that but I found another way to stop USA targeted spam.

    Our company is based in the Netherlands. I use a spamassassinrule to give a high score to mail coming from .com domains, which are not much used here for eMail. And it is 1 of the most triggered rules in preventing spam. We hardly get any spam trough this way. It even helps blocking the gif/jpg stock-shit.

    You're right. These mice will be the natural selection grounds for oxygen radical resistant bacterial strains, maybe even incoorperating them into their metabolic pathways to produce cheap ATP. Next you will find your printer clogged up with strange pulsating mounds of glee. From there the bug will spread in any electronic device where electric charge creates free radicals, bringing down civilisation as we know it.

    Has anyone checked these oxygen-radical producing mice for connections with muslim-radicals?

    In my quests to spend my money in games that are really worth my money I rely for a large part on the site Gamerankings.com . It combines the rating of many sites and a voting system for players. I always choose games based on both averages and it has been quite successfull up till now with Oblivion, GalCiv2 etc. I don't think I would have bought those titles by just shopping around.

    I'm always suspicious on game review-sites that they enhance the rating of games from money-spending advertisers.

    I do not understand the commotion. Every voting system depends on the honesty of the participants and those who guard the procedures. Therefor electronic voting systems will never be more secure, only more efficient (for good and for bad).
