I agree that what reviewers think does not make a difference about whether I see a movie or not. However, after I've seen a movie I like to read what others thought and take part in forums like this to see what have to say and take part in a dialogue. I consider it additional entertainment beyond the X hours sitting in the theatre.
Doesn't mean you can't start in one and go to the other.
I believe that in Episode II it is specifically mentioned that Dooku was Yoda's apprentice, and I think (but i'm fuzzy on this one) that Qui-Jon may have been Dooku's apprentice.
I think that droids talk to each other so you know what is going on. When it comes right down to it this is a story, and two robots walking around silently without insight to what they're doing or why isn't very interesting.
There are lots of devices that have to be used for the audience that don't make sense in a "real" scenario.
I interpet it that having an iPod made you cool, and lots of other things made other people cool. Now, to be included as cool, you need to have the iPod too.
Personally I like to own movies. I like listening to commentaries, I like special features. Perhaps most importantly when it comes to your comment, I like not having to rely on the cable company (or whatever company) to provide signal for my media to me.
VOD has its uses. I have used it to watch movies that I am interested in, but know I don't want to own for sure, but the fast forward and rewind features are not good enough yet for my tastes.
I interpreted the initial comment to mean that it wasn't time for all the Linux users to point fingers at the Solaris users, I didn't see Windows in the equation at all.
I think what he meant is that the people that go to the "1 year technical school" and can't get a job have 1 years of loans to pay back; whereas he has a degree for a 4year institute such as a university with 4 years worth of loans to pay back.
3) Download songs legally while simultaneously screwing Pepsi and RIAA.
If by "screwing" you mean "buying their products" then yes, you are correct. You may be reselling the drinks so there is no cost to you, but there is still profit to the parties providing the goods.
I don't think any deals at all were "broken" they are coming up to the end of the original agreement, and Pixar decided not to resign for X more movies with Disney.
"The Original Trilogy" refers to the movies. The "four disc set" is the medium which the movies appear, along with other special feature.
In the case of H2G2, the "trilogy" actually had more components than a trilogy. I have H2G2 in a 1 Volume hardcover set. I guess by your rules I just have a single book now.

Where was the other 1 hour at? In the washroom after your 10 gallons of soda? :)

He was definitely a Jedi at some point.

In the original run it was just called STAR WARS.
It got the "Ep. IV: A New Hope" treatment during a re-release.

Sounds like the makings for a horrible TV show
"An elite group of taxonomists, known as The X Team"

I'm sure Harvard wouldn't mind turning back some of the best and brightest.
I'm equally confident that none of the "sons and daughters of the very well connected" would be turned away for this.

3 Million subscribers even.
I disagree.

Sci-Fi runs their Friday night lineup twice back to back.

09:00 PM STARGATE ATLANTIS
10:00 PM BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
11:00 PM STARGATE SG-1 (SEASON 8)

This give the opportunite to work around any scheduling, especially with a PVR.
You don't pay someone to make love to you, you pay someone to have sex with you. There is a difference.
- No I have never paid for it.

"Though I think there would be way too much compition for Kaylee among the geeks in such a MMORPG"
Ah, but would it be competition for Kaylee, or competition to BE Kaylee?

Parent post should be nominated for longest winded "I'd hit it" post ever.

I find Dupe of URL amusing, this is only the 2nd time I've seen it, and the first time was 3 minutes in a Fark thread.
H
The "much better short story" you mentioned sounds interesting. Do you have any additional hints that might help me find it?

At Circuit City and the like, DVDs are often cheaper the day they come out than they are the next week (or 6 months later)

Close, but not quite.
