Well assuming they are indeed talking too loud and he's not just being a dick about it. Nice passive aggressive way of dealing with it though, heh, on my bus routes telling them to pipe down could be indeed risky.
Always had a great respect for him for making C and UNIX. I guess it's early in the day, but way less comments than I was expecting for news like this.
Really don't get what's the problem with the URL bar. I don't buy that reasoning that it's "confusing" for people to see an URL or that it eats up too much space. If they must follow through with this ridiculous idea hopefully they'll put in an option to keep it (nothing wrong with allowing customization) - or an addon for it will be made.
How were they uncontrollable ? Right click to attack a target, you could create custom groups, and they had the 'mission' mechanic to automate a lot. Very nice depth to the strategy element of the game.
I really enjoyed Rebellion, was great fun in MP - although took too long
"The Metropolitan Police Extradition Unit confirmed at 10.30am London time (2030 AEDT) that the 39-year-old Australian had been arrested “by appointment” on a European Arrest Warrant an hour earlier."
Seems that he turned himself in, so not sure the insurance file key would be released. Mind you his threat to do that if he was arrested (I don't think he specified for a particular reason) seemed a bit off.
I agree. Nothing better than watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2et3cKlSSk&feature=channel Amazed at some of the stuff people pulled playing that game. Still about 40-50 people playing, but they seem to be the super hardcore element.
Well I don't think playing OpFlash would be totally useless, weapon wise and aiming sure. But stuff like utilizing cover, simple infantry tactics work both in and out of the game.
"WTF? They're human just like you and I. (I should know, I was in the Corps) This crap affected them the same as it would anyone else. This is an attempt at telling their story, and people want to treat it like it's either an attention grab or a money grab."
And you don't think this is an attention grabber which will help lead to increase profits for the game ? There's a reason they went for the "real" aspect, and it's not out of good feelings for the Marines.
While the prospect of playing something like Operation Flashpoint in an urban setting is appealing (which it won't be, probably end up like COD4, heh) I'm not that excited over this. I guess it's a case of too close to the actual event more than anything, and sort of trivializes what went on there and was experienced by the Marines, the insurgents and any civilians left. Also the story, if there is any, will probably be censored and adjusted (not to mention it's one-sided).
Max Payne 2 was more complicated ? Snuh ? Weird. I liked Max Payne 2 about as much as the first one, the plot was a bit cliche-ish but I guess we have to expect that from Max Payne. Still with no Remedy on this, I'm thinking it'll be merely ok if not bad.
I don't see how this is so much 'vaporware' as 'what people would really like'. Blizzard hasn't made an announcement or even a hint that they're making it, after all.
And boy, do I hate seeing the list one item at a time.
I figure most Brits will be for this, even if it's just for them sticking it to the US.
Been using Atdhenet for this, have to deal with a British focus, but eh, that's Olympic coverage.
All my gaming experience has taught me that it should be skin-tight and leaves arms, legs and midriff bare.

Maybe I'm just being overly cynical about things.

Condolences to his family (well ok, not that they'll read this). Sad that I have no idea what else he did besides TESB.

Same..well ok not drinking, but definitely the girlfriend part.
Gee, that argument sounds really familiar, usually used sarcastically around this place.
Read that as "The Sun has First Topless..", thought The Sun here in Toronto finally decided to spice up the Sunshine Girl.
They forgot to enable lewd mode
And right after Kraken, will come Leviathan!
I admit when I first saw that headline, I thought they were being cute about actual democracy in China or something.

And the laptops can't be stolen, and then rendered for parts ?
Heh, yeah. Sounds like something out of Blood Money - A cell phone packed with a smidge of explosives!
From the article there's so many negatives to this, that I really fail to understand the reasoning whoever thought this up was using at the time.
