I have to second GB-PVR. The thing plays files in any container I throw at it, and integrates support for daemon tools so you can load.iso DVD images. The community support is exceptionally friendly as well.
There are just so many darn features and plugins for Firefox I have fallen in love with; however I am giving Safari an open-minded try right now. Off the top of my head, the glaring absence of the equivalent of an 'adblock' plugin is a show-stopper for now.
I don't think it's nitpicking in this day and age to ask that a web-browser be skinnable as well. This theme reminds me of everything I hate about the Quicktime player. And what tab is open? Oh... the one that is just a *slightly* different shade of gray. And where are my UltraMon buttons?
If you are using Windows and build/administer your own system, you should definitely consider using nLite to create your own custom, unattended windows installation. The process goes like this:
1) Copy cab files from your original Windows installation CD/DVD
2) Incorporate service packs & hot fixes
3) Incorporate your RAID/SATA drivers (no more hitting F6 andinstalling a floppy drive JUST to load windows) and any device drivers (Video/Sound/other hardware) you'd like
3) Specify every setting you'd like; for example: What options do you want to appear on the start menu? What IP address would you like on your NIC? What screen resolution would you like on your desktop? What is your product key? nLite lets you set an amazing number of these
4) Recompress all of the above down to a new bootable image
If any of the above sounds scary, don't worry... nLite walks you through everything. The first time you do this, it takes a while to set everything up. However nLite allows you to import setting from previous sessions, so you can hit the ground running next time around. On subsequent loads, it can save a good number of hours and reboots. There is even a new version for Vista that I have yet to try... I forced myself to use Vista for one week and went screaming back to XP. (Woo hoo! Startin' a thread!)
As of now, my torrent session for Firefox Setup 1.0.1.exe has 204 seeds and 2 peers. That is the best ratio I've ever seen... just more proof that Firefox users are some of the most conscientious netizens around.
One of my favorite WinAMP Plugins is The Brain, which monitors your listening habits and begins automatically creating its own playlist for you. Just choose music for a week or so and then let The Brain take over... Kind of like having your own radio station. The plugin hasn't been updated in a while, though. Are there any other audio players with built-in or plugin capability to do the same?
The comments on Mozilla.org say this will feature in 1.3. The current downloads are only for 1.2. Is there a way I can get a build of 1.3 already? (Is that what the nightly builds are?)
Regarding SmartTags: How do I turn these damn things off? I know what you're thinking... Advanced Options dialog check box, right? Wrong. I have seen a screen shot of where this option is supposed to be and it doesn't show up and I am stuck with them.
Windows 2000 w/Service Pack 2

Thank you in advance for the help,

Actually, I would argue that business experience will make you a better coder, but with a caveat I will mention in a second. How many times, while in the thick of coding, have you had an idea strike for the product itself? In a smaller work environment where your ideas will be heard and not buried under administrativa or the sheer bulk of your organization, your newfound knowledge may lead to better, more refined products in the long term. Of course, if you keep up the good work for long you will eventually sprout that pointy head.
So it *is* turtles.

I am the webmaster of the webpage for the band Billy Pilgrim, http://www.billypilgrim.net/
June6-July6:
IE: 51%
FFx: 30%
Saf: 10%
Chr: 04%
Moz: 03%
Average visitor is probably well educated & in mid-30s as this band was popular in colleges in the late 90s but is no longer active.
That is Sofa King Awesome!
...according to the place where I get my news.
I agree. (640K x 10,000)^4 + 3,000,000 ought to be enough for anybody.

Now my information can be wrong AND outdated.
Thanks for the free pr0n!

How much more black could it be?
None. None more black.
The final episode was written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, and was not written by Manny Coto. Reference:

Here is a torrent for "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins."

In most BASIC interpretations, "RENUM" will renumber your lines, providing even, 10-digit spacing between them.
Um, hello. "Sega Channel" anyone?
My vacuum cleaner is now a screen capture utility! Can I get a Hoover with USB?
