If you are heavily swapping that is a good indication you are low on memory.
Speaking with Windows experience I may be totally off base. But I know aggressive VM can cause swapping on systems that aren't using half of their available memory.
I've never seen an animal (umm, excluding humans, we're not plants) spray poison on their food before eating it either. We miss out on alot in urban settings.
Those are both good things, food limits will create an upper bound to our population (someday, hopefully). Shitting in our backyard is what we're supposed to do, makes the soil healthy, then you grow things out of it and eat it. Its a cycle.
Nintendo might be less evil, but how less evil? Like Freddy Kruegar evil?
I think "Pikachu evil" covers it.
Since I can't stand "Windows evil" and "poorly filtered graphics, DMCA rox0rz evil" I went for the yellow rat evil, that and it was a hundred bucks cheaper at the time.
GameCube is more for kids, whatever Nintendo tries.
Yup, little kide love romping around a dark stormy mansion with a shotgun trying to blow a zombie's head off while they get bitten into, blood splattering, screaming and struggling until they fall onto the floor and a huge puddle of blood surrounds them.
Traps can make people think there is a treasure inside.
And big blocks, platforms, spiky bits, other impressive architectures may make it a popular holy ground to pray on or a nifty playground for hide and seek for little kids and whatnot. And Whats with the sign with the radioactive symbol, like we're supposed to know what that means in 10000 years after loosing languages and civilization and stuff.
it would be wrong to take up two seats on an airliner when you only bought one ticket.
Okay, that makes sense. Unless the plane was underbooked and the seat next to you is empty. Then what? Why not take advantage of it? Stretch out! It costs the company nothing and inconveniences nobody!
Everyone is assuming its always tapped out. If it isn't then whats wrong with that (and why the hell aren't the companies already offering you that extra seat on underbooked flights? They shrink your seat when it suits them, are they too lazy to make the seat scale both ways?).
As an Amigan, they must have dumped all that ST-506 stuff on a big pile and burnt it all to the ground very quickly, because all the Amigas I've ever seen have not had much to do with it (as in I've never heard of it before).
So theres no market for people who want a cheaper console, or hate microsoft, or like nicely filtered graphics and easy controllers, or don't want to be forced find a place for a monolith in their TV area?
I like the NVidia console, I loathe Microsoft.
And I hate Sony in just about all ways possible.
Both systems cost too much (and some of the controllers are sadistic).
I expect the PS3 to have the same texture filtering problems the PS2 and the PS1 have, its the Sony way. I also expect worse load times and a controller with a few more buttons and levers than the last one (more equals better, right?).
"Our new machine will go in your head, take your old thoughts out, and put new ones in... it'll be the greatest video game experience ever, and you'll never buy anything but Sony again!"
Kinda reminds me when Zik-Zak reprogrammed families to live off of their burger packs and stuff.
I guess I just don't see how this cheaper model (stripped of the "Windows tax") really saves newbies much money, if any at all...
How about this then?
If they're forced to buy Windows and they want Linux, Windows does not provide Linux, so they will buy Linux and will have paid unnecessarily for Windows.
Not paying for Windows would have saved them money.
Do you think Google indexes it's indexes?
...to see a small groups of Vorlons crash the party and start talking cryptic trash to the trekkies. :-)
"How do you think this Convention is going to end?"
"In fire."
Kinda makes me want to hold off even more, until it hits the 100$ mark :)
If GameCube goes down to $100 earlier than January 2004 I will be somewhat surprised.
All manufactures rely on subsequent hardware revisions to reduce part count and minimize loss
I haven't seen Nintendo do this, I know Playstation 1 did, but thats about it. (and I think playstation was mediocre anyways, but thats another post)

ever seen an animal shit where it eats?

we eat too much and shit in our own backyard

Pro-choice, because there are too many damn people already!
You mean pro-death-to-humanity.
Choice doesn't necessarily mean everyone is gunna pay doctors to use their high-tech coathangers on them, then shoot them and their whole family.
Cripes that got extreme fast, I'd hate to see what a markov chain would do to all the texts regarding abortion.
How appropriate, Microsoft being too anal about user names.

I survived it, it'd better be news! :-)
And if the game doesn't want to work, you just BLOW on the cartrige real hard.
Ya ain't serposed ta do that sonny!
It'd suck to blow a tire on that thing...
My favourite was the "Nirvana/Can-Can Techno Remix".
I think they chorused way too many times on that one.

Sure it wasn't more of an Amiga 1000 thing?
When you have content in perfect digital quality, it makes it hard to improve on perfect,
Thats the good part, reception, encoding, decoding, transmitting to the TV, decoding there, and pushing it out of a CRT are all imperfect affairs.
Therefore its substantially easier to improve on it.
Its just like calling the Playstation 1 a SNES killer.
:-)
Wasn't the Playstation 1 originally supposed to be an SNES upgrade?
the GC to children, Nintendo Fanboys,

Oh well, I have plenty of karma to go around...

I believe aliens get abducted all the time, thats why we don't see many of them.
Point being that there is science to it. And something else, I can't find what I replied to. I'm lame or something.
