As an independent the Apple eco system is a minefield. You can't base a business on an environment that is so perniciously hostile. If they don't like what you're doing it's off with their head, if they really like what you're doing they just might steal it. You also get to pay through the nose for the privilege of being treated like crap. I knew to avoid them.
Like when Facebook had games and eventually took over all the ad space the developers had to finance their games? Like when they suddenly banned all their developers from billing their own customers? Like when they were giving away facebook credits and making developers pick up the tab?
For some reason I think I'll give this a big ol' pass. You'd have to be pretty dumb at this point to think Facebook wouldn't steal all the profit.
This show has everything, the tension of programmers working themselves nearly to death, the drama of them moving back in with their family when they can't pay their rent, and the excitement when you see the nice new car the Apple executive spends their profit on.
I already shuttered my shop and got rid of both my people. I just don't want a business partner like Google or Apple that dictates what I can sell in the marketplace to the point where I have no freedom of expression. They also are fond of reaching deep into the pockets of those that keep them in business.
All our computers and phones are spying on us. We haven't even got enough enlightenment and wisdom to use agriculture, banking systems and gun powder to make the world anything but a worse place to live. As soon as pervasive automation takes hold we'll probably mothball most of our population and just give them enough to get by through some minimum income situation.
The math behind a public company is that they need more. There is no such thing as balance, sustainability or being the right size to address a market there is only more and more and more. It is the same pattern as a junkie. There is never enough smack for a junkie and there is never enough for a money for a corporation. This junkie mentality is what the Ayn Rand crowd believe should go unchecked and run our society.
That is why corporations are a corrosive disease in our society.
When you get into engineering it's amazing how buildings, particularly large towers are dynamic moving machines. There are giant weights, cables and counter weights and if they go wrong the building will literally start shaking. Buildings aren't as still as you might think. If you didn't know buildings are very dynamic, thank an architect.
I've developed my own algorithm for determining if these people are covering up crimes. It tracks lip movements, if there are any, they're covering up crimes.
Daesh is actually an insult to the Islamic state people. It's anti-terrorist not pro-terrorist.

Yeah but have we SEEN her birth certificate?
But it's a 3D version of MS Paint. How can you not like quality software like that?

I could mistype something when I'm downloading Chrome and end up in trouble.
I not only get to donate my time for free to a scummy multi billion dollar company but I get to promote censorship at the same time.
How about coming up with a business model?
I've run a few businesses and figuring out how to make some money was usually something we did.

Soy shouldn't really be eaten by middle aged and older men. It messes your testosterone up.

SJWs of course. All those people can get off welfare and use those gender studies degrees.
Only really serious hate speech, like disagreeing with anything a woman or person of colour says.
It'll be fine, and if you disagree you will be required to get a 2 inch tall tattoo on your forehead that says "Shitlord".
Where I am adding diversity would mean giving visible minority jobs to western Europeans.
I'll keep drinking my gin and tonic just in case.
The same thing was said when the Colecovision and Atari 2600 faded.

Just like we will never achieve heavier than air flight.
I like the idea but battery technology just isn't there yet.
Yes excellent analogy, the Nazis just did it all for dick pics. They really need to teach the controversy in school.
