So we fight one type of contamination with another? Doesn't that mean it will be TWICE as worse than if we just ignored the initial problem!

Yeah, I hope these things GPS trackers are cheap - I'll provide local towns service putting GPS on all the police cars and charging for detection. Talk about new markets! Track your girlfriend, track your husband, track your boss! This is GREAT!

  8. Dumb government on Building Prisons Without Walls Using GPS Devices · · Score: 1

"The ultimate result could be lower crime rates, at a reduced cost, and with considerably less inhumanity in the bargain." The less humanity, the less likely our government will want to do it. They like being draconian and keeping people fearful of horrible prison. I'd much rather have this GPS system, but knowing how the government stands on many issues such as marijuana, I can't see them actually doing something humane like this for convicts.

  9. Don't punish the speeders! on Building a Traffic Radar System To Catch Reckless Drivers? · · Score: 1

Don't punish the speeders! It's not speeders that are the problem, it's people not looking before they go. So many times people just assume the roads are safe and they go without looking both ways. If anything, people going too slow are more of a problem as they block traffic and cause jams. Also, the roads over in the middle east are horrible! Way too thin!

This is by far the dumbest article I have ever read. A bunch of middle school kids who can't do math - what do you expect when you give them calculators and Google to do all their thinking for them? When they have to think for themselves, they won't be able to. Just another horrible side effect of technology.

  16. It's because it was given to them on The 'Net Generation' Isn't · · Score: 1

If they had to work for it, and looked at developing it as a challenge, instead of an annoyance, maybe they would value and respect the net for what it really is, rather than just using it for chatting with friends. They were just given this incredible power, with no real understanding of how hard it was to create. It's like giving a 2 year a gun - they will probably either end up dead, or bored after a few minutes simply because they don't (or can't) have that in-depth understanding of what it is and how to use it. Maybe after it goes off once or twice, they will be too afraid to play with it anymore and will dismiss it. These n00bs were born after all the hardcore COBAL/C/C++ coding, and couldn't care less what languages are used, as long as it has a pretty GUI. There are so many levels of complexity that it's too much for someone born nowadays to try and understand all of it, so they just go with what they can - chatting, email and facebook. Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe we've created a monster maze of complexity that we will never be able to get out of.

Wouldn't be surprised if they had some Enron kinda shit going, as there's no way they could have survived this long legit. Oh that's right, they are also "Time Warner Cable", I forgot they had to mask their name so people might actually buy their service. Pretty funny how much of a negative reputation they had.

  22. Re:neighbors reporting on you on Indian Police Using Facebook to Catch Scofflaw Drivers · · Score: 1

Certain laws should not be in place. I agree that people should report violent crimes, but there are many laws that violate one's natural freedom, such as the prohibition of marijuana. If my neighbors reported me for that, it would be very unfair and you have to remember that freedom is more important than anything else. People getting locked up and killed for consuming a natural plant is just draconian.

You've obviously never tried it before, or are a n00b, because it does not impair motor skills at all - in fact, it makes me much better at video games (much faster reaction when I'm high).
