This is exactly the problem. People are trained in traditional subjects that bear no relevance to the open jobs in the real world. In today's world, there is high unemployment AND high open reqs at job firms. Going to college as a music, history or literature (or increasingly, law) major does nothing for you if the job is in simple programming of the factory's computer system, of which there are no qualified applicants.
Don't worry, OCZ is on a one-year ban list that keeps getting renewed. I allow new companies time to get things right before lifetime banning them. So far, I don't see any institutional evil, just making crappy products and getting overwhelmed with the support volume.
But if Apple can license their patents to HTC, Samsung can ask the courts for a license at the same amount. It is possible that the court will grant that, as Apple clearly thought it was fair for a very similar competitor.
I learned 2 years of Spanish in high school (over 25 years ago) and I still remember enough to follow Spanish conversations by picking up every second or third word.
Actually, patents were invented to force licensing of ideas, so that everyone can play. Somehow, in the past 200 years, we've changed that into "it's my ball and I'm going home".
I have the EXACT same experience. They were floored when I asked them whether their next presidential candidate had different view on redefining torture and if not, I was voting for Obama. The phone literally got so silent I could hear other conversations in the background clearly.
Actually, as with most things, FRANCE has their own version. Almost every other country uses QWERTY, except German speaking nations because Z is much more popular in German than Y.
Laptops today have around 5-6 hours of battery life. Even 5 years ago, 2 1/2 hours was a long time. So, I'm seeing that several of these technologies have helped a great deal.
This. We recently disputed a credit card charge and I got a call from "April" at "Cardmember Services". Yeah, right. I hung up on her. The phone rang right back. It was April again. She was calling about our dispute. I said, "Sorry." She said, "Yeah, I get that a lot."
Actually, the core multitasking engine as rewritten by Mark Russinovich and company in Windows now supports multiple threads very well in Windows 7. Run a program that is not written for multiple threads (even a batch file) and watch as all your CPUs level out to nearly equal amounts (within ~10% usually). This happens with nearly any process these days.
So, 6 cores would work just fine for people. I think the real reason for the limit is that Intel doesn't want to cannibalize the overpriced virtualization server market.
Same, we had Super Pong, Atari 2600, Atari 8-bit PC, Sega Genesis, Apple//s at school, PC, etc. I've gamed on them all. Now, I mostly choose PC games when possible.
I'm cheap. What can I say? Console games have a $30 license fee that PC games don't have. Plus, I would have to buy an additional controller for $50. So, console game = $59 + $50. PC game = $29.
Also, PC games have way better graphics than even the best console games.
PC games get updates and bugs get fixed. My daughter and I recently played Lego Pirates of the Caribbean on Wii and it was practically unsolvable with 2 player co-op. It kept locking up with no way to update it or fix it. I wish I had bought the PC version.

Now a $1 bill will get you a burger.
Where?

I heard it was web color numbers. I was really looking forward to Windows #CD853F !
To my knowledge, it's the same in all 50 states.
America already eradicated most of the world's diseases, or did I miss something?

I just use NoScript. I don't mind seeing the ads, as long as they don't take over my computer.
In the 20th century? Atheist world leaders...

No. He wanted to sit down and have tea with Bin Laden.

So, it's okay for the government to follow an ex-con around and make sure that he doesn't buy any property? It's basically the same thing.
All Android devices take micro SD cards that I've seen. In the last 2 years or so, they can go as high as 32GB.
Probably because you are attributing WAY too much intelligence to Verizon store employees...

And those were always the hammers that got jammed when I used a typewriter.
Ah, but they were spying on a self-declared "foreign nation", so I'm not sure it really counts.

I'm pretty sure they tried exactly this in the 1930s...
