It is like the developers don't bother making the game look good because people are interested in the songs only. Music games all look like ports from gamecube games.
just for the record, I have a Wii........its around here somewhere under about 6 inches of dust. My 9 year old Nephew uses it to play smackdown raw or some such crap. He begs me to let him play the PS3 or 360. He calls the Wii "the Weak" Like this "come on, pleeeese let me play the PS3 I don't want to play the Weak anymore!! the Wii is essentially a gamecube with a 100 more mhz processor and a gimmicy imprecise controller scheme.
This coming from a anon,(but, I still do appreciate you actually answering even if it is anonymously.) so your saying that The Wii is not used by old people and children and that it is a system that is on par with the 360 and PS3? that the Wii does play DVD's? or that you can use it as a media server?
here is something that I posted a while back, and if the big "N" can rake in the cash doing this fine. but, don't presume because casual gamers are buying the Wii that it is somehow superior to the other 2 consoles.
"In a sense, a company selling their console at a loss is good for the buyer, that means that the games have to be compelling enough to sell, because that is where the profit will be coming from. with the Wii, (a console that is very limited and its only claim to fame is it's unique controller) the big "N" makes a profit on every unit sold, the games cannot even be considered secondary, the selling of more nintendo brand "gadgets" and "doodads" meant to make the Wii work like it should have in the first place takes second slot in the Priority list apparently. so, essentially, Nintendo just t-bagged all of its fans and customers with The Wii. that is why most games on the Wii are shovelware. and every once in a while Nintendo throws a bone out by updating an older game, changing the name slightly a parading it out to get more people to fall into its trap."
you have hit the nail right on the head, I have one of these dust collectors floating around the house somewhere. thank god I didn't spend my money on it. I also own a PS3 and 360 and love them both. great games excellent controllers great graphics and complex stories with great high quality surround sound.
It may be a/the top selling console but, seeing that only people who don't play games are buying them. (eg: old people, parents of very young children, care givers for people with downs and aspergers syndrome.) People who play games on the other hand know that the Wii is a scam and a waste of money. personally, I LIKE good graphics and a complex storyline, I LIKE to play dvd's and blu-ray discs on my console. I like having the ability to download games and demo's to an internal hard drive. I like using my console as a media server.
I'd let you watch, I would invite you, but the queens we use would not excite you......
It's simple really Apple did nothing illegal, they
on
Safari vs. KHTML

and when I say "they" I mean APPLE, are just a bunch of OSS LEECHES.
oh, sure they didn't do anything "illegal" but, wrong, sure I would say wrong, they take and they give unuseable or not very substantial code back "as per the "licence" aggrement.
Apple, like other corperations ( M$, IBM) will do anything to make money. Apple is no panacia of giving or on a higher moral ground than any other company.
mac marines and penguinheads get over it, they are just a money grubbing company like any other.

Blah, NeroLinux needs salt
on
NeroLinux vs. K3b
·
· Score: 2, Interesting
After using NeroLinux I have to get on my Knees and thank Sebastian Trueg for K3B. I don't get it, Nerolinux is so bland, it doesn't see my burner, so it doesn't work, it is about as enjoyable to look at as a letter written in marker on a piece of cardboard.
and other posters making the statement that people will use NeroLinux over K3B because it is easier is a patent JOKE! and proves that they have never used K3B. it works without the need to configure it. well, in Mandrake I don't have to do anything at all, it just works.
also, even though I am not a Gnome user, I have tried to use Gnome alternatives to K3B with mixed results, most of them involving not burning anything, but, of course I don't use Gnome, so I consider it a shortcoming on my part to the software.
That reminds me, I gotta' send some money to the K3B team....they deserve it!
maybe because firefox doesn't have the ability to "click" AD's for you like IE does. what a great innovative feature IE has over FireFox, M$ better patent it.
10-4, AVSforum is the best place to go, also, GO to www.projectorcentral.com, there are ALOT to consider when purchasing a projector, I can assure you that you will have bad results if you try to build one yourself, depending the size of your room and the the type of media you will be watching you have a few hard choices to make, For myself, I have a room that is 11'x17' and I only expect to watch Movies, so I chose the SANYO LCD PLV-Z2 it is a 16:9 widescreen but if that is too much for you, Infocus sells the X-1 it retails for about 900.00 it is a DLP 800x600 resolution projector, one thing about DLP, there is a thing called the "rainbow effect" not everyone can see it, me and my wife can and it is annoying, if you decide to buy one try to get a viewing first to see if it will bother you. and google "dlp, rainbow effect" and "lcd screen door effect" also, those big, clunky 3 gun crt projectors are really not the way to go, the new ones (if they still make them) are way too expensive and the old ones are becoming difficult to find parts for. not a cool thing to find out when you need to fix it.
I hope this helps you (if you even get a chance to read it)
and remember www.avsforum.com and www.projectorcentral.com
I agree, I can configure things on my own but, I don't want to have to. autodetection is a wonderful thing. give me a distro that sets up allmost everything before I even boot into it the first time. updated and ready to go.
ok, then download all these components seperately, compile them, program an installer, hardware configuration utility and all the other mandrake-specific software developed to make it easy for the newbie to use and administer. prepare 3 to 4 iso images with a plethora of software, and you will have a modern distro of your own, and it won't cost you a dime.
I cannot you begrudge paying for all the work that the avarage distribution does to actually make all these peices of software work together and be easy to install and use.
you suck!
go steal yourself a copy of windowsxp and go away.
I have no idea why people complain about MDK 9.2 I have had 0 problems with it, It was the first Linux release to support my audigy platinum and my HP psc 2410 the printer/scanner/and built-in card reader all worked automagically!! I have had no problems with 9.2, 10.0 is a little buggy though, I would like to upgrade but I think I will wait, I will just have to play with 10.0 on my test drive.

that's Mandrake.
I'll concede on that, 9.0 was not a very good one for Mandrake.
