hey, I'm glad it worked out for you, I felt the same way you did about bittorrent until I got it working.now that it is working, you can see why bittirrent is better, just think how long you would have had to wait if you tried to DL it from an ftp site the week it came out.
I don't know what your problem is, if you read some documentation you will find out it is probably a problem on your end, I hated downloading a torrent until I discovered that my linksys router was blocking a bunch of ports that bittorrent uses, when I opened them on the router I went from 5k a sec to 150k a sec. that is a whole lot better than fighting for a spot on an FTP site, sometimes waiting a week before everything settles down before I can even effectivly DL it. with Bittorrent the more people downloading the faster the download, so distrobution in this manner is actually BETTER than FTP. get a clue before you make uninformed rash claims!!
I have no problem with online advertising such as this.....when I pay nothing for my connection to the internet like I do for Television (not cable) then no problem!
until then, I will download and install every piece of software and hack to curcumvent having to deal with this crap.
I don' know about the I-pod but the NEUROS is real cheap $200 for 20gig model and it is loaded with functions that no other device of it's kind has....
Frankly, when people ask a question about a computer problem, I will help them to help themselves. If they ask me to come over and "look" at thier computer I tell them that I charge a fee to do that. (just a small $ amount 45.00 usually) You should see the look on thier faces when I say that! it is flawless! and on the up side they don't even ask questions anymore. For, close friends and some family, if they want me to look at thier system, they have to bring it to me! I am sure as hell not jack-assing around town wasting my time all day because you don't use basic computer acumen.
If the "tablet" was around 200.00 then it would be worth it, but, you can get a nice notebook for less than half the price of one of theos things with a dvd player/cd burner, nice big hard drive, ect...
tablet Hardware makers " why won't anyone buy out tablet pc's??? they are only 1600.00 more than a laptop!"
To tablet hardware makers: make them cheaper!!!! is just a damn toy anyway!
he is making a statement about how gabe newell and valve "tweak" thier code depending on who pays to be thier sugar daddy, that is why ATI has such great benchmarks in HL2 and why you will never see a Linux port, the M$ X-box connection.
That is a another reason NOT to BUY LOGITEC hardware. I remember calling them about getting win32 drivers for a scanner I bought because they only provided dos drivers, they wanted to charge me 80.00 for the disk, that was 20.00 more than the scanner!!! well I just wnet up to Sears and bought one of thier new scanners copied the win32 drivers from the install disk and returned the scanner. that was the last time I bought ANYTHING from logitec. BLAH.......
with 25 million in vouchers for M$ software (restrictions apply, voucher should not exceed 50% of purchase price, not valid for Office, Windows family products, or development software.)

well I wouldn't call mandrakeclub touchy-feely, it is just a great way to support Mandrake directly while maximising your investment in the distro, with Mandrakeclub you get to download programs that you generally wouldn't get with the download version of mandrake, plus for 60.00 a year I cannot see why anyone would bitch about unlimited downloads and upgrades from Mandrake. plus if the avarage linux company releases 2 distro versions a year at anywhere between 40.00 to 80.00 you are ahead of the game with being a club member. But, that is just my view of the club, if they provided nothing substantial I wouldn't waste my time.
funny, I wouldn't even look at it sitting at a light, much less ask where I could buy it. the thing is repulsive! looks like somthing urkle would drive.
I think we need to start a grass-roots campaign and start collecting cash to help Microsoft fight this case, the last thing we need to see is MS go out of buisness!
if everyone sends as much cash as you can spare to my paypal account I will make sure Mister Gates gets it.
you might be a troll, but I have not problem with seeing ads over paying for the 80% of tripe this site pumps out, I would rather pay Texstar for Pclinuxonline, at least he provides real value.
The only people who call MDK "beggars" are people who don't use MDK (and professional trolls), it bothers them that MDK has desktop marketshare rather than thier beloved distro. we know why MDK always wins popularity polls.
I have been using mandrake since 5.3 and I have paid for allmost every version I have used.
Your about as stupid as the French protesters that are throwing rocks and storming McDonalds to try to hurt an american company, did you stop eating broccoli years back when Georg Bush senior said he didn't like it?
The world of buisness is not so black and white, for example if you buy a Mazda you are making Ford money (they have controling shares in Mazda stock) mitsubisi-Chrysler my beloved Toyota-GM,
I guess evryone is living in LA-LA land, I went to Farscape.com right after the show ended and signed up for the notifaction when they get the ball rolling on all the Farscape stuff they want to do......

but if you type just "xfree" the first one on the list is xfree86.org, I don't understand why xfree86 would cause a problem and not xfree??

I really don't think Toyota will be fooled into that sad situation, heck they are allready using Linux for thier dealership inventory system.
