This just gives me yet another reason that I am glad to be voting for Republican Ron Paul for President. He is the only major party candidate running that is in favor of constitutional laws. At least he took the time out of his busy schedule to actually do his job as a Congressman.
Wi-Fi may be much faster but my Verizon BroadbandAccess Kyocera pcmcia cell card is more reliable. I can usually get a connection anywhere my regular cell phone can. Granted, it isn't much good for downloading the latest episode of my favorite tv show, but it really shines when I need to access a website at work that is blocked by our stupid websense proxy. Or I can take my laptop and sit in my car at lunch at surf the internet without having someone look over my shoulder. The real plus is for people that travel all day for work to different job sites and need reliable access. You can't always get a Wi-Fi connection and even if certain cities install it like they do here in Tempe, Arizona, it is only good within the city limits.
I agree. Buying a CD and ripping it to mp3 really isn't that difficult to do. I would contend that it is easier to do that than spend my time trying to figure out how to transfer an iTunes song more than three times.
I use my XM Radio to find new music and if I hear something I like, I buy the CD. Or I rip the digital stream to mp3 using my old RipFlash mp3 player/recorder.
It makes me think that maybe the RIAA wants electronic distribution to be so complicated that people will give up and go back to buying the music in the least protected format.
He finally figured out the blank line in the "Profit" joke. Took him long enough.

OMG!!!
I was also at EB Games over the weekend playing the Wii, which is amazing (Ok maybe I am a fanboy too now), and overheard a few employees talking with some customers about the Zune. They touched on all of the important topics: it's screen is larger, it's much better looking, and thinner (?). Of course, no mention of DRM, good or bad.
It seems nobody ever seems concerned about the fact that their iTunes music will not go with them if they move on to another player. Now, I realize a lot of people don't buy iTunes music for their iPod (my wife, for example)... but I know that a lot of people do.
Moe: Moe's Tavern
Bart: Hello...Is there A Benis there?
Moe: Call for A Penis! Is there A Penis here?
Moe: Oh, wait a minute...Listen, you little scum-sucking pus-bucket! When I get my hands on you, I'm gonna put out your eyeballs with a corkscrew!
Bart: Bwahahahaha
Yeah...the Canadians. Besides, it's so cold there in the winter that they use the inter-tubes for sledding instead of spending all their time trying to thaw their data. Therefore, less music gets downloaded.
1. Wait for Google to finish buying YouTube.
2. Sue Google for trademark infringement.

5. Profit!
6. Laugh at Steve Jobs because you managed to win at suing a completely unrelated company!
because there's no freaking way to just buy the files
I discovered the coolest thing a while back. There's these stores that sell these little round shiny things that come in clear plastic boxes with a little book inside that has all the song lyrics and pictures of the bands. Then I put the round thing into my computer's cup holder and iTunes makes mp3's out of all the songs. And when you're done you can throw them at your coworkers. I don't know if they sell them where you live but I know you can buy them in some of the larger cities like where I live.

Yes, but will they blend?
Because Tom is everybody's creepy friend.
That's ok. UR MOM was so easy she let me hack her. Although penetration testing got a bit hairy in places.
"unless they did it from their offices at the Maui Hilton"
At least now Paris Hilton has more money to produce another album.

Go easy on them. They're Slashdot editors. It's not like they've seen boobs lately.
Cool. So they tied a shark with a laser on it's head to a missile and launched it at the satellite. What a bloody mess.
In a game based on true Evolution, you would just watch everything unfold randomly...
Or think of it as being a lot like waiting for the game to get developed.

That's easy.

I haven't summoned the courage to ask my wife what she thinks I taste like.

Duh!
Good for them. I'm sticking with PHP.
You fool! Convert to Mormonism, move to Utah, and marry both.
Although your food bill will go up by an extra $5 a month so be careful how you budget. It's less beer for you.

Aight, I put on my robe and wizard hat.
So is not changing your passwords. But it's ok, I'm just going to retrieve the money to protect it from the bad guys so it's not really stealing.
That's a piece of cake. I'd just burn a CD of the Slackware Linux ISO, FedEx it to them, and tell them I outsourced it.
Ahhh...A sequel of The Running Man appears to be in order. All governors should have to run the execution gauntlet to be elected.
