a more boring E3. Announcements about games we all knew about, Epic giving in to Games For Windows Live when they have complained so vocally about the 360 Marketplace, etc... First E3 in a while that left me wondering what I will play next year, or if I really care any longer.
Or course it won't cause you to "trade my 3800+ dual core Athlon 64 for an intel Core 2 duo of the same speed and have to pay twice the price" becuase none of those circumstances are possible. I like AMD too, but they got owned this round and that is just the way it is. AMD is just as capable of evil and more guilty of whining, brand loyalty is for suckers in regards to performance desktop computing; buy the fastest gear you can get at the moment of purchase.
Direct X 10 client in the future? I haven't gone to Vista yet, but that might drive me if it made an already great looking game even better.
The only funny thing here...

AMD's New DRM
·
· Score: 1
is how many people thought AMD would abstain from DRM technology and that they were some how the "good guys" in all of this. Big business pwns all over mainstream society without their knowledge and often with their consent. You really have 2 choices, enjoy the content or ignore it?
The vast majority of consumers aren't looking for hacks and workarounds, they are looking for a store with HD content and a device to play it back. Xvid support is nice and allows some flexibility, but it is hardly a response to anything Apple has done. Of course, all Apple has to do to respond is release some HD content and that criticism is moot, but they aren't even whispering about this yet.
Worried about what? The AppleTV has poor video quality, limited content and a no sign of HD content on the way. Live Marketplace already has more a decent amount of real HD (downloads available in 720p and 480p are the norm) content with more on the way. Combine that with the best gaming solution in the console space and an optional HD-DVD add on and it is clear that Apple has an uphill battle at best.
"have proof that an American applicant couldn't have filled the position"
Having been attached to I.T. based Human Resources I can guaruntee you that this question does not get asked and all related policies are pretty much ignored.
This has nothing to do with it, it plays fine on my HD-A2 and my cubicle mates 360 add-on, most likely there were a bad batch of disk. You may now remove your tin foil hat.
now show me some gameplay, I don't need GTA III mechanics again. And please tweak the combat system so I feel like there is some level of control during up close fights instead of just random luck.
crying about this? I just bought my 360 like 2.5 weeks ago but this doesn't bother me. The current Premium meets my gaming needs (and has plenty of hard drive space) and my Toshiba HD-DVD player and cable box handles the rest (and tie up both my HDMI ports). It is an option for new Xbox customers and by no means invalidates your current purchase.
This strikes me as more about being obsessed with always having the latest and greatest than a real issue, grow up...
3 weeks, Resistance is great, more games on the way and Blu-Ray looks amazing. Most of the negative stuff comes from two camps; those who think it is too expensive and those who support other platforms.
While thie price is high, you are getting a lot for that money and it would be more expensive to put the equivalent 360 together (I don't mention the Wii because it doesn't compete with hi-def solutions). The hardware performance can't be argued, HDMI is a plus, the hard drive is of decent size, built in WiFi seems a no brainer these days and while including Blu-Ray may have delayed the unit and cost a little more it will benefit PS3 owners down the line. The games line up looks more promising all the time and once Sony starts unleashing those franchise exclusives and originals (and devs get the hang of the hardware and provide better ports) it will be tough to spin the PS3 as a bad choice.
For people who have already gone with the 360 it's only natural some will be constantly negative as they will want to have bought into the dominant platform. But outside of a Playstation Network that is feature anemic but appears set to improve with the next couple firmware upgrades, the gap isn't as wide as they would like to pretend.
And finally... Motor Storm, LAIR, Drake's Fortune, Tekken, Warhawk, new game from ICO team, Devil May Cry 4, Ratchet and Clank, etc...
is when a company like Valve takes so long to relase each episode. I would have been perfecly happy with the Source engine as is if that meant I could be playing EP2 now instead of June.
It is fast, stable and uses about 1/3rd of the memory FF does. I know that isn't a popular opinion around here, but FF isn't really all that special for the vast majority of user needs. And I don't really think the security debate work any longer as IE7 has made serious strides in this area. I'll go one furhter, I never had a security problem with IE6 as I don't surf for porn or cracked software; the only two kinds of web sites were my A/V software ever went off.
Wall Street will punish Apple in a huge way if Jobs goes, either by choice or force. For many people Jobs is Apple, and the useless analyst at places like Gartner will paint awesome forecast of doom when Jobs does go.
gone completely BTX, so I don't see this happening. BTX is great, provides much better air flow than ATX and meets most of the same goals AMD is after here. I know Gateway and Dell are shipping AMD based boxes in BTX chasis on BTX motherboards, so I just don't see this happening.

Since this game is part of the "Games for Windows" logo program your attempt at a point is completely useless.
Can we please take moderator points away from morons, this is a legit quetion?

Buy an Xbox 360 and have both?

who pays for porn these days?

but know this, you made me laugh and I appreciate it...
Some of you people need to learn how to moderate, this post is not a troll. Just because you don't agree doesn't make it a troll.
I said went off, past tense, I just don't find it wortht the effort any longer.

Sorry there bud, you are quite wrong, but you'll be okay once you get over yourself. See the interior photo #3 at Dell's site here http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetail s.aspx/dimen_e521?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs/

Best reply I have read on /. in weeks, thanks friend.
