Unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with this assessment. I was a big McCain supporter. But, now that I know he's just like every other right wing uber conservative that wants to take away my personal freedoms, he's nothing but pebble covered shit in the cracks of my shoe.
I use JavaScript and haven't had any problems with spam on a couple of medium traffic sites.
Here's my code. Just replace yourname and domain.com. I suppose you could expand it so the com/net/org/co.uk/etc is a third field. If you want the link to use CSS classes, just add them in.
How can you afford to just take a week off work to plunk down $600 for a console? The only type of people who could afford to do this are little suckling pigs who get all their spending money from mommy and daddy or some sugar daddy/mommy who should be getting therapy from Dr. Phil.
We try to demand it. But, the **AA puts an incredible amount of cash in our legislators pockets, and every red-blooded American knows that Congress is the puppet of those with the most cash and have no interest in actually serving their constituents.
Yes, but being a mentor/teacher/hero to a child is a lot different than having sex with them.
Do we need people to mentor kids today? You bet we do. But that mentoring doesn't need to involve sexual contact.
Honestly, just because the age of consent is 14 somewhere doesn't mean it's ethically right. As adults, we have an ethical reponsibility to educate children and set examples. If we were to encourage them to have sex with us just "cause it's legal", we would be morally irresponsible.
Quick Answers:
1. It is perfectly legal if the license agreement allows it. Many freeware and/or open-source programs are copyrighted, but the license allows them to be distributed for free. In some cases, the authors encourage you to share their program with others.
2. What restrictions? Several capitalist ventures are profiting daily off music downloads for a fee such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Yahoo, etc.
3. To serve the capitalistic monopoly seekers, naturally.
There, now everyone can get their merit badge just by searching/.
As long as I, the administrator, have to explicity allow said third parties to be able to access my kernal; then I am okay with this. Otherwise, allowing access to the Windows Kernal is a serious security issue when a hacker gets copies of the code to do it.
I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but in my state, a prospective employer can certainly choose not to hire you because of your sexual orientation. The Indiana Supreme Court refused to approve a bill that prohibited it.
The MPAA already has issued reports saying that piracy costs them billions of dollars of revenue a year; and now they're trying to claim that they grossly underestimated the losses?
What they fail to realize is that DRM is what is costing them billions.
I don't think we can even get "low grade" 95 octane gas here. Our Premium gasoline is 93 octane max. So, if a gallon of low grade fuel is 3.00 (87 octane), and 93 octane is about 30-40 cents more, you might as well figure another dime for each octane point higher... bringing the pump cost to somewhere around 4.00 for the equivalent that we cannot get.
Well, I am going to have to agree that the site in question should be on the top 10, considering that they claim on their hideous-looking site that they are both elite and elitists. Apparently, the elite are color-blind.
Some people actually pay for the bandwidth they receive. Being inundated with hundreds of spam mails uses said bandwidth. It's more than a nuisance, it's a charge to some people's wallet.
Perhaps there needs to be a "Do Not Email" list similar to the "Do Not Call" list. The DNC list has held up in court and caused telemarketing companies to be levied rather large fines.
Spam that you cannot possibly unsubscribe from and/or you did not explicitly sign up for is harassment, plain and simple; which, if I recall is a crime in most countries.
Travel to? Hell, I'm afraid of living here any more. This country stopped being a "free" country in my eyes about 20 years ago and has gotten progressively more communistic since.
Some of the things the Bush administration has passed and/or is trying to pass seriously limits the freedoms of the people here and have an adverse affect on people in every other country.
Well, the last console I owned was a SNES, but I do own a GBA SP and two games. I have my sights set on a Wii, mostly because of the price point and the fact that I have enjoyed many games on the SNES I hope to be able to play again (not through emulation). I'm a geek at heart, but I do not have a surplus of disposable income to throw around on $400-600 systems and then games. Frankly, I get motion sickness in FPS games, and most of the "key" games on the Xbox360 and PS3 will most likely be that genre of game, so I could care less.
I would like to point out that I would not buy an "OMG Ponies!!!1!!" game, even though I am female. I'm hoping for an innovative golf game using the Wiimote and some fun Mario Universe themed games.
Ah yes, Microsoft wants to adopt the Stuart Smalley approach as well:
1. I'm good enough!
2. I'm smart enough!
3. And gosh darn it, people like me!
(more props to SNL):D
So what about us gals that have male avatars on games? Where's our study? Actually, I've only ever played one male character in an online rpg.
But, I would like to say that in GemStone IV, I have been playing female characters (and am female) for over 10 years, and in my personal experience, I've only had one character (and it was recently) who benefitted from the "female factor" of having loot thrown upon her, although it wasn't for any flirtations. I don't have any experience with WoW and other newer graphic MMORPG's, though. GemStone IV generally attracts an older crowd as a text-based MMORPG than the newer graphical ones.
It's not so much that it's broken; it's that game developers keep hashing the same games out over and over with different themes and newer graphic engines. I haven't bought a new game in almost 2 years because everything is the same.
Actually, the "upgrade" edition is $99. You have to purchase the full version of Windows to be "legal" in MS's eyes. If you have what WGA marks as an illegal installation, they offer to sell you a legal copy for $149, which is $50 off the full retail edition. So, you're looking at a Franklin and a half.
If Microsoft was willing to cut the price to the home user for their OS, there wouldn't be a need to pirate it in the first place. Set a price point around 30-40$ US for the full retail edition and you'd see a massive decrease in piracy.

Everyone knows that terrorists use Windows!

Perhaps Spamhaus should deny access to their database to all U.S. Government servers for a month and see what happens.
It'd be better than replacing someone's Folger's Crystals.

If it's any consolation, my senator from Indiana (Sen. Mike Pence) said he's against traffic shaping and has voted against documents concerning it.
For it being a Google tool, one would think that one's Google login would work with it, but I see they have not integrated it.

And how will they deal with those of us who inadvertently deleted the temporary directory which allows one to uninstall their beta2 version?
