I have a powerful computer on my desk. Why can't it handle passwords? The browser software could communicate with the server it's trying to attach to and negotiate a new password with the client when the client logs off. Except for the initial login onto my desktop, the computers would handle the passwords. I understand that this is what the chops on my credit card do now. The current passwords could be stored in a database on my computer that I could access through something like keepass if I had to find the current password. The password could be set to any level of complexity.
I have had five new credit cards issued in the last year. My bank never tells me who screwed up. If I knew what companies compromised my information, I would not deal with them. Let the market put pressure on CEOs to fix their security.
It'll be interesting to see how the conflict between intellectual property rights and national security is going to play out. Both issues have driven the US international policies for the last decades, at least. Both have powerful lobbies in DC.
Wonderful, but if the NSL is truly for National Security, make it illegal to use information gained using one in a domestic criminal investigation or give it to any corporation for their commercial use.
How will the past one child policy affect China's foreign policy? If a family only has only one child how ready are they to risk that child in a war? Are the parents who have only one child now of an age where they can affect national policy or are the present policy makers of a generation that was still able to have more than one and therefore more open to this risk? If there is an affect how will relaxing this policy affect China's foreign policy?
So synch your keepass file with your other devices.

Amazon's promising that the tech support won't be on commission so there won't be the incentive to up-sell on support calls.

There goes his opportunity for a job with the FBI/DEA.

Didn't MS test this OS? Telemetry collection seems like a universal beta test. "Let put this stuff out there then see what happens. Then fix that."
