    Eh, I find Ebay to be much easier to navigate than most Google web UX, which never fails to baffle me. Ebay's mobile app is pretty solid as well, at least on iOS.

    Jony Ive hasn't been in charge of "all design duties" for a few years now. Richard Howarth is the head of Industrial Design, Alan Dye is the head of User Interface. They do all the product design duties.

  4. ^ this BPAs and similar other toxins in the environment will be our slow undoing. It'll be just slow enough that we'll let it happen before doing anything to prevent it, just like climate change.

    iMessage iCloud syncing is an upcoming feature in iOS11/macOS10.13 this fall.

    Apple's macOS product is called "Messages" and it works just fine and tons of people use it. Supports iMessage, SMS relay via iPhone, Jabber/GChat, AIM. I'm signed into all of those right now and am not having problems. It doesn't sync non-iMessage conversations on other devices though, if that's what you mean. iMessage on iOS doesn't support anything other than iMessage and SMS, which is why.

    They just replaced their Thunderbolt with USB (specifically, USB-C with the latest USB bandwidth), now that it's finally fast enough to drive monitors well.

    No they didn't, those are Thunderbolt 3 ports which use a USB-C connector.

    Digital Trends, to be exact: http://www.digitaltrends.com/c... Obviously they grabbed some stock keyboard art that included the Win logo. The key how to tell it's a Mac is that if it were a PC it'd still have Intel marketing stickers all over the goddamn palm rests.

    There is a Hulu app. Also, aside from Plex there are a few other DLNA/etc media players, waiting to see which of those are worth purchasing as quality usually varies quite a bit on iOS media players, and the App Store has been only open for a few days.

    1) swipe down to open spotlight 2) type the first couple letters of the app name that's the easiest way to select apps quickly if they're not on your home screen.

    The service aspect is not all positive.. With a vendor built, a component failure means a 2 week minimum turnaround where you're out of a machine. If you've built it yourself it's an overnighted part and you're up and running again...and if you're crazy desperate, a drive to frys/microcenter.

    I've had Apple machines shipped halfway across the US to Texas and back with a new motherboard in 2-3 days. Just saying, for reality's sake.

    Yes, it fixed mine. I bought a new MBP 15" (2.3 quad i7) on Sunday, saw this thread that evening, and was able to easily dupe the issue over and over. Today the 10.6.7 update came out and I have not been able to duplicate the freeze. It's fixed, works great, problem solved.

    10.6.7 == FIXED FIXED FIXED. (for those skimming :)
