  1. yeah right.. on Game Developers Should Ignore Software Pirates · · Score: -1

This is a simple stupid remark by someone who doesn't know anything about business (except his own wallet).. There is a big difference in money between producing an album or a game (not accounting for advertising), it doesn't costs milions of dollars to produce an album, but it does to create a commercialgame these days.. I always find it funny that people who don't create stuff themselves (an are financial dependant on it) say stuff like this.. Piracy is killing business/creativity...

  2. yeah right.... on Blue Lights To Reset Internal Clocks · · Score: -1

Well knowing from own experience, once you get tired it doesn't matter if it's dark or light, you shouldn't drive when you get so tired or if you get tired just stop the car..

  3. no way.. on $5 Per Month Fee Proposed For Legal Music P2P · · Score: -1

Hell no, I'm not going to pay anything because some jerks are illegaly downloading music.. Just pay for the music you want to have instead of ripping people off..

  5. Re:HA-HA on German Police Raid 51 CeBIT Stands Over Patent Claims · · Score: -1

Well, why isn't apple being raided, since they have ripped off otherpeople's designs for years and got away with it cleanly even to the point people believe in the Apple got it first myth.. Looking at the meizo device and the iphone, they look a bit similair, but just like any other phone/mediaplayer device.. so the iphone isn't anything special that hasn't been done before.. I still wonder why people fall for the apple crap.. and then they complain about MS with their built in mediaplayer and IE, but aren't talking about the iTunes crap which is even worse..

  6. hmmm... on New Lock Aims To End Chip Piracy · · Score: -1

  11. not true on Sony Paid Warner Bros. $400 Million to Go Blu-Ray? · · Score: -1

This is just pure speculation, and Warner already dismissed it.. HD-DVD fanboys need a different reason why warner was going blue only, the fact that Warner was one of the only dualformat distributors and therefore knew better how much was sold from both formats isn't a good enough reason for them.. HD-DVD was almost 6 months before BD on the market, and even with that headstart it didn't sell more than 730.000 players (including xbox360 HD-DVD addons) worldwide (according to Toshiba), that's not a lot compared to BD players including the PS3.. Warner said a while before the christmasholidays they would look at the numbers of those holidays and then make a decision, and that's exactly what they have done..

  13. Re:PhysX on All GeForce 8 Graphics Cards to Gain PhysX Support · · Score: 2, Interesting

No it wasn't a waste of time.. the PhysX-card is much better at calculating physics than the 8800 which is already busy enough doing 3D.. So the combo of 8800 with Physx-card is much better than using a dual 8800..

  15. Re:When will they learn... on Tolkien Trust Sues New Line, May Kill "Hobbit" · · Score: -1

Well, it all depends on what was in the contract. You can say that they are crooks, but if the other party is stupid enough to sign, then who is the crook? We as outsiders don't know what was in the original contract. And ofcourse it's utter BS that in "indie" film they actually get what they are promised.. It all depends on the contract, it's that simple.. You ofcourse would do exactly the same thing as any other company would do, do what's best for you (and if the other party isn't that smart, then it's its own fault).... In matter of fact, it's actually harder to get any cash from an indiecompany than it's to get it from a big moviestudio.. indiecompanies are mostly bankrupt/gone before any money is even made.. You should read Loyd Kaufman's (of Troma) books, it's a lot of fun and big information..

  16. I hope it helps on Yet Another Perpetual Motion Device · · Score: -1

Even though it might not be PM (which he by the way also doesn't claim), I still hope it helps in a big way as soon as possible, having it in an electric car (or generator for you home) would only benefit everybody. He maybe gets amazingly rich with it, but mankind is helped by that.. Remember a lot in nature still isn't scientifically explained yet it is there, so our science isn't definite as our laws of physics (which are only set by us, and we are already shown we where wrong a lot of times).

  17. but when? on Cell Hits 45nm, PS3 Price Drop Likely to Follow · · Score: -1

I wouldn't mind paying the current 40GB price for a version which contains a 45nm Cell and also a 65nm RSX (which at this moment is still 90nm for what I've heard).. It would make the bugger even more silent and less powerhungry.. BUT I guess we have to wait at least until fall before we actually see versions with the 45nm Cell in it.. grrr...

  18. get written permission on Open Source Code In a Closed Source Company · · Score: -1

Even if they 'abandon' your code it doesn't mean you can use it anyway you want to. Just talk to your manager and make sure you get written permission (from someone who is authorized), otherwise don't do it.. The big problem with not having written permission is they can come back on it, and it's your word against theirs, and that's something your gonna lose in court.

  19. hmm... on Next Generation of Gyroscopic Controllers on the Horizon · · Score: -1

Even though I'm not a fan of the nintendo wii (too much overhyped piece of junk), I can't understand why Nintendo (who makes a profit on every sold wiimote) doesn't create real windows/linux/mac drivers so pc/mac games can also officially use the wiimote.. ofcourse I understand they need to sell the wii, but with all the handy hacks these days they can sell a lot of wiimotes, so even when the wii doesn't sell anymore they sure as hell can still sell the wiimote.. also I don't understand why some PS3 developers don't catch up on supporting the device, as the wiimote would work perfectly with it (ofcourse it should by default use the sixaxis).. But having a controller which doesn't need a stupid IRbar is much better..

  20. nice.. on Software Tool Strips Windows Vista To Bare Bones · · Score: -1

  21. Re:DRM is pointless on DRM-Free Music Spells Trouble? · · Score: -1

It's not the industry that has to revise their businessmodel, as the only other businessmodel would be 'no business'.. It's the 'consumer' who needs to change, instead of just illegally downloading content they should just buy the content. Because it's easy to illegally get a movie/music now doesn't mean you should. People should understand that downloading stuff like that does affect other people, and in the end could also affect you.. Movies/Music are still luxury products, if you can't afford to buy them, then just wait until you can see them on the telly or listen to it on the radio, but there is no excuse to just illegally download (and therefore STEALING) them.. Do don't go steal a car because you want it but can't afford it (ok, normal people don't)..

  22. Re:QT isn't (just) a media player on Apple QuickTime DRM Disables Video Editing Apps · · Score: -1

Hee, but we don't want QT locked into the OS this way.. it's ridiculous, other parties should also be able to have their audio/video system installed instead of QT.. oh wait, this is Apple, so all the stuff people bitch about in windows doesn't apply to them.. yeah right..

  23. Re:For those who want metric on $2500 Tata Nano Car Unveiled in India · · Score: -1

I never understood why people would use things like 4.4L/100km, as I put gas into my tank by the liter, and with the prices today (which is per liter, here in the netherlands) you get a much better idea of what your car is drinking away. At least 4.4L/100km doesn't say anything to me, only gets me confused since I need to calculate how much my car really is drinking (and in my case it's a lot hehe)..
