Actually, the reason a little village is safer, is because there are more police per 1000 people than in a city. If the city would maintain the same relative size police force as a country town, there would be no unemployment (since all able bodied people would be in the police force) and there would be no crime either, since there would be a bobby on every block.
Bloody hell - how is the soldier supposed to handle -20 to +120 temperature shifts? OK, I suppose it is Farenheit and not Celsius, but that is still really tough temperatures.
The simple fact is that most people aither know how to fix a zonked PC, or they know someone that can fix it for free. Therefore, they don't care much about the issues with Windows. It is only the highly technical crowd that gets annoyed with Windows' general shittyness.
People used to fall in love with the VW Beetle - hands down the worst car ever - but everybody knew how to fix it...
...you would not want anything to happen to it now would you? Little John and Pete here can keep it safe for you against all the neighborhood thugs. Let's discuss the terms...
Hmm, the first thing I noticed when I moved to North America many years ago, was the horrible mess of overhead cables everywhere. Most US towns and cities look like Spiderman gone mad. In the rest of the civilized world, cables are buried. It looks better and is much more secure against wind and ice rain.
Pretty soon there will be two kinds of Media Centres: a. The Microsoft Media Center displaying a permanent black screen with a red warning and b. The Linux Media Centre where everything just works.
The machine asks for some info ahead of time, while it tries to make a network connection and do the validation. This gives you the illusion of speed and interactivity. So after a while, when it finally figures out that it is a dud card, it pops the card back out and forgets whatever you selected.

Nope, I don't think anybody buy anything that is spamvertized. The suckers are the business owners that get duped into thinking that spamvertisments work and will make them money. They pay the spammer to send the crap and instead of massive sales, they get 10 death threats from sysadmins. The spammer doesn't give a damn about whether it works or not, all he does is go look for the next dumbass that will pay him to send more crap.
Good - your company obviously wasn't serious about open source software anyway. Note that Redhat pledged to indemnify their users, so your powers that be were not really serious about anything.
No, it is just that there is not much diff between $3 and Free...

Exactly, 'DHCP == Asking for and receiving Permission' in my book and I think that when you go and lay out the protocol to a judge he would concur.
Hmm, you mean descriptive names like 'Outlook', 'Excell' or 'Lotus123'?

MS strong armed Novell with a M$40 payment. Some strongarm...

Considering that MS paid Novell M$40 for that agreement, I would be very happy to accept similar terms...
The microwave radiation from the sun is much more powerful than WiFi, so anyone worried about radiation should remain in his mother's basement...
...but won't this super cold cable be affected by global warming? I guess that is why they had to spin the anti-terrorism bit...

Wooo, some Russian 5kr1ptk1dd13 clogged up both of Estonia's phone lines?
Hey, just wait another 50 years and science will have advanced that far.
So, is it a crime to publish a number that may be used as a copy protection device at a future date?
Maybe the USA should just put everybody under the age of 80 in jail and be done with it.
You just need to play it on a proper player. One good reason to get Linux.
reverses baldness, so what is the big deal?

Magnetic memory went the way of the dodo a good 35 years ago.
Don't be so testosterony...
