    Apart from carbon steel, cars also contains lots of organic (carbon based) plastics. So you got to subtract the carbon that is trapped in a car from your equation.

    The problem is that they write such crappy code to begin with. There really is no good reason for that. I use Word 2007 at work and it is very buggy. If I had my way, I would not use it, even OOo is better.

    I have come to the conclusion that finding a way past HR is part of the aptitude test. You need to have someone on the inside that will give your resume to the guy that needs you. He will then take your resume to HR and say 'hire this guy'. So, it all boils down to 'networking' and with that I don't mean Facebook...

    Newspaper paywalls already failed in other countries. Why would it work in the UK? Papers make money from advertising. Asking the readers to pay will drive them away and the advertisers will follow shortly after.

    It wouldn't matter even if they dropped support for the proprietary one as well, since their latest driver is unusable anyway - at least on my Toshiba U500 laptop it is. The damn thing crashes all the time, so I am still using the VESA driver.

    It would be good if it allowed the use of a generic back-end. I do not want to administer a system with multiple SQl database systems. I want to standardise on one and use it for all my server data needs. The days of using different databses for email, DNS, authentication, web applications and more should by now be a thing of the past.

    MS is a convicted monopolist. They have been fined more than $2,000,000,000 over the years for illegal business practices. The ballot thing is merely the latest remedy imposed by the EU.
