The field of computing has expanded in all direction, even inwards and backwards. You simply can't stuff all the important wisdom into a 3 or even 5 years. In the olden days all they had was their math books and assembler, and life was simple. My suggestion: Make computer science hard and interesting again, and provide a different education for those who are allergic to math and metal, they might still become productive, and much needed, high level programmers. The know-it-all computer guru is becoming outdated. Just as know-it-all philosophers became outdated once we started doing some serious sciencing.
# Gliese 581 is, as astronomical distances go, relatively close: only 20 light-years away. It's one of the few star systems which, if inhabited, might # provoke conversation. A simple exchange, along the lines of "how are you?" followed by "fine, and you?" would require a mere four decades. Tedious, # but not unthinkable.
Oh my gods how funny it would be if all they sent was "How are you", and 40 years later all they got back was "fine, and you?".
(such short messages would be a pain to decipher though)
FYI, distrowatch donated the money they made from ads to a handful of open source projects, among them FreeBSD.
Someone has to be first, and this time it was slashdot.

As long as we are at it, here's the analysis of how the freebsd hackers handles the lb problem
# I wonder if the brains are wired for specific bases, like base 10.
We like it because we have ten fingers. Other civilizations have had other number systems though. The Mayans used base 20, since they had 20 fingers

You could always walk back to the past if you like the old universe better
It was supposed to be a (apperently bad) joke, not a confession of my drug habits.
Cocaine will require several refills to get you going 16 hours.
I used my printer for this a long time.

You have pasted this troll before, have you not?
obviously a black hole. Mars must have been stuck in the opening trying to enter.
So, this is built on Stallmans code, but where can I find the sources? Or is there some other license coming into effect here?

Maybe it will become a new moon some day, and we could inhabit it, and create a new layer of orbiting junk
| Jesus, your post sounds like all the song titles from an Iron Maiden album.
What do you mean? I seldom post at all. Thou shall not bear false witness.

If this is true, we will have to form some sort of digital rights management
Oh damn. Guess its too early in the morning to rush for a witty first comment
There's zero comments yet. Wonder how many comments that is per poster
Then I will remain neutral.
