by the same pack of flaming assholes who have wasted 20+ years and billions of dollars designing shitty, bug ridden, non standards compliant web browsers, that have such massive security holes that any 13 year old script kiddie could drive a tank through them.
Yeah M$, you're a real authority on web development *sarcasm*.
They started spamming one of my accounts many years ago. After the fuckwits ignored multiple nasty grams, I promptly firewalled their entire netblock, and solved the problem permanently.
They're still hammering away, even though I've probably had them blocked for 10+ years now.
forced OS upgrades, which often breaks the registry, poor control over Windows Updates, Windows update showing App store bullshit back onto the box even after you've removed it, etc.
Only the LTSB enterprise version is usable, and even that gets annoying.
never heard of proxies and VPN's before. Hollywood has about zero luck stopping copyright violations the past 25 years, and these idiots will have the same level of luck.
My guess is that the C level idiots will just toss a huge amount of money at some overpriced consulting firm like IBM to make themselves feel better, and not really fix anything.
Bullshitware like UAC (which stops zero malware in just about every security study I've read), or secure boot, or any other number of "security" theater that M$ comes up with, they all end up failing horribly.
There's no substitute for designing things securely.
they're just going to keep jamming more and more useless bullshitware into the OS that no one wants, no one will use, and continue to ignore bugs and other crapola in Windows
and get no where. That ship has sailed, and IOS and Android own the mobile market. But M$ will toss endless amounts of money after it in a vain hope to gain traction, much like they keep pouring money into Bing to no end.
We've invested so much staff time into figuring out how to neuter Win 10's bullshit "features" like Telemetry, crappy interface, beefed up UAC (that breaks plenty of applications that we use), broken profile management, and inflexible Windows update....
Only reason we're even touching Win 10 is that 7 doesn't work well on a lot of newer laptops, and come 2020 M$ is dropping all support for 7.
No offense, but your incredible ignorance on the proper use of deadly force is mind blowing.
He was "only" armed with a knife - a knife is a dangerous deadly weapon that routinely kills people. There's a reason that US based law enforcement will shoot the hell out of you if you have a knife and charge them, and come within 21 feet. See Tueller Drill. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
And how do you know he didn't need to be shot 3 times in the chest? The proper technique when using deadly force to defend yourself (or others) is to keep firing at the threat until such time the threat has stopped acting in such a way that requires use of deadly force.
And the most effective way to stop such a threat is "drum role please...." shoot the threat in the upper chest area as many times as required until that threat STOPS. Sometimes a side effect of this is that the threat is killed in the process.
in more technical terms, on the rare occasions my ISP forwards me these sorts of bullshit grams...
My response is tell my isp that accusing me of a felony crime without proof is slander, and that multiple US Federal Courts have ruled that an IP address downloading something does NOT equal a particular person downloading something.
I close my response by telling the idiots that if the Hollywood shit for brains lawyer at the other end has any REAL proof of me committing a crime, he's welcome to notify the sheriff's office or local DA. And, if I hear further shitty threats and accusations of slander from Hollywood shit for brains lawyer, I'll file complaints with the appropriate state bars.
Interestingly enough, they don't seem to bother me anymore.
I love reading when a company that is critical dependent on their IT infrastructure to function, cuts as many corners (and jobs) as possible in IT to save a buck, then has it all blow up in their face.
Target, Home Depot, United, Yahoo, etc.....they'll save millions, until they end up losing billions.
Its because of jackasses like you, Hoover, etc, that we NEED and DEMAND bullet proof network security and encryption.
If you need a refresher on the reasons why, try the following.

massively overcrowded, horrific traffic, insane cost of living.
Unless someone likes living in an over crowded over priced city with a pile of east coasters.....No thanks!
when you pry it out of my cold dead hands.
So glad I ditched SystemD distros for my servers....
It's a space station.
while cutting infrastructure spending and outsourcing IT positions in a mad attempt to make his/her stock options go through the roof.

Wrong. OP's post is absolutely accurate.

"For every technology, there is equal and opposite hacker technology"
When a bunch of fucktards like SpammerForce advocate just about anything, its a safe bet that the opposite position is the correct one to take.
SpammerForce can get fucked.
Back in the day, AIM was infamous for being the place all the kiddie diddlers would hang out and try to snare their pray.
AOL's constant battle to draw the bottom feeders to their network was a success in more ways then one.

anyone with a clue tells the Feds to go fuck themselves, and come back with a warrant. Followed by a demand for immediate legal representation.
4th and 5th Amendments are a beautiful thing

Since the only thing (network wise) that comes out of Africa is spam and other crap, blocking this will be 100% perfect compression.

We need to strive for 100%.

so even if 100% of the service is hosted overseas, the gestapo errr FBI and NSA, will still put pressure on him to compromise the service.
Any more, you want fed proof email, 100% of the solution has to be fed proof.
That means non US citizens as employees working in a fed proof country, and servers hosted in a fed proof country.
I think proton mail fits this need well.
