    A little old lady had moved a year earlier, and a credit card co. sent her "checks" to use against her credit card... to the old address. So, whoever moved in there (or whoever stole the mail) was using the checks before they expired for things that were nondescript. Wrote the checks to pay some bills and buy some things, local address sure come on in no id required.Yes it is that easy and that simple. However, if you have all the pieces it gets much worse.

    I'm waiting for RIDS - Retinal Identification System, gonna use my glass eye, eh Sammy?

    This is where your idea goes to shit, the RIAA and MPAA are buggy-whip makers, or rather buggy-whip middlemen. There is no place for them in a p2p world as the artists no longer need them.This is their big fear and why they are making a big deal out of this. Steven Soderbergh is about try something new in that he is going to release a new movie, in HiDef Download/DVD/In the Theaters all at the same time... If he finds that he can do this all by himself without any leech-assed fucktards sucking all marrow from his soul, then he no longer sees a reason to pay them to do this. Look, I can go spend $400 and do my own printing and card making etc. or I can go to kinkos for and do it for less, however after 20 trips the computer/printer option starts sounding very advantageous.

    This is just the DoDo birds(riaa,mpaa) with their freinds the Dinosaurs(congress et, al) attempting to get sticks to beat back the upright-walking humans. Dood, when soap operas started showing up on torrent sites, i knew the whole game was over... the cat is out of the proverbial bag.

    Same Mobo with a gig of ram; I chose the Antec Aria case, an nec dvd-rw dl; and 160gb hd.w/mepis 3.3.2 test2. The nice thing is it is quiet; I have enough power to download torrents and pass them to my TV connected computer, surf the web, write email and the whole thing was about $300 and about 2 hours setup and tweek. Yes, my processor is only 1ghz. but, that is more than enough to do what I need to do here. Plus with this case I have plenty of room to add more things as need be.

    Ahem... I happened to make it up there only because I am a Mepis user, and was told that I could donate up there(and possibly meet Warren, Hi Warren)... Interesting. I did not not seeing FreeBSD up there, but i made the rounds to all the booths; Frightened some young EFFer by walking at him with a $20 dollar bill and just handing it to him. :) Firefox, KDE, Gnome, Xorg all up there and did not seem to be missing the happenings downstairs.

    Of note also, the Asian Distros/companies were up there also... hmmmmm.... Sun Wah Linux is a Chinese debian based distro looked quite impressive.

    I have been going to LWC since 1999 and when we first got the IBM and Novell glitz there is kind of fun, now it is just I don't know... DIRTY.

    It would be, but they seem to be using data that was provided by other parties as to what sites have "malicious" self-install-while-i-look-at-the-site-even-though- my-box-is-patched.
    If they were doing actual research/work on these issues there would be a larger list of sites...

    Except that apple stopped doing this when Stevie came back the last time. One of the first things they cut. Oh yeah they throw them a discount but not like those you get from dell or gateway.

    IANAL, but, Since the contract "was" and employment contract between chinese guy and M$, then once Chinese Guy is no longer employed by M$, ie. no longer receiving compensation for services, then said contract is no longer in effect and is Null and void. Fuggem. Fuggem big time. Common sense tells you that if you pay your employees a decent wage, and aren't a DickHead, your employees will be happy and likely as not will not take offers such as these.

    BTW if Google is a competitor, where can I torrent an illegal copy of GoogleOS 2005?
