although the really twisted ones like hitting ground targets in a more personal fashion with the A-10. Hey! I like hitting ground targets you insensitive clod!
But this is more like planting a mango tree, posting a sign, and then selling the tree - but insisting that the "Don't pick the mango fruit" sign is still valid. All software is licensed, not sold. This includes open source software, which is usually a General Public License. The only things you buy when you buy a retail copy of OS X is the disk and the box art.
Most of this painting was damaged over time, most likely in an epic battle between wizards and elves. I know of this because I am an art trader and that's where we get most of our paintings.
My gripe about SimCity 4 was money. It was really hard to have any sort of budget that profited money for projects and expansions. (And I've played my share of SimCity). This is something that worked much better in SimCity 3000. I did however love the regions, the way the transport systems built, the better graphics, and the ability to rotate the camera as I see fit. My $.02.
I hate the new iMac keyboards. They are supposed to resemble the MacBook's keyboard, because the market is in love with notebooks right now. They are also in love with super slim gadgets, which gives the iMac keyboard a high percieved worth.
The old keyboard was a good typist's keyboard, whereas the new keyboards are a useless upgrade. The old keyboard had a good key feel, and had a nice travel to the keys. The surface of the keyboard was concave to match your finger's range of motion. The keyboard was also angled upward at the correct degree for typing. The new one is flat as a griddle and angled much too low, causing you to reach farther.
The USB ports also worked better on the old one, as a big USB device would lift up the new USB keyboard and cause it to wobble as you type.
While we are both speculating, I think it is related to the load on the Windows Live,.NET, ect. servers. Windows Live messenger was acting flaky for a friend the same time I was having XBOX Live login problems. Zune Marketplace is also an extension of these services.
32 bit Windows XP and Vista only can access up to 3.2GB of RAM. 64 bit Home Premium supports 16GB, and 64 bit Ultimate supports 127GB. Not sure about specific *nix operating systems, but you stated you need to run Photoshop. The only way to get over 4GB of RAM in a Mac is to buy a Mac Pro, and the 8GB and 16GB upgrades will cost you your first born child. (Of course, you could buy third party RAM and do it for a more reasonable price.)
The local Best Buy had something similar happen two years ago. Back then the Xbox 360 had just come out and they prominently displayed it. A theif wearing a fake Microsoft ID lanyard walked up to an employee and told him he was here to pick up the console. The employee unlocked it without question and the theif walked off with the Xbox.
I never understood why advertisers and publishers want to slow down the servers with ads when they could instead host low ping servers (relatively low cost/ month). Many games let clans put up an image in the loading screen, so why not have the advertiser pay for the price of hosting the server and just put a banner ad in the loading screen? Instead of being an ingame nuisance, they could turn it into a positive.
You're dead on about the RAM prices. It wasn't so much that they claimed that it "should" cost $65, they showed a shot of their know-it-all guy saying he found it online for $65. Regardless, online pricing is normally just the cost of a product plus a razor thin profit marging, because they are online stores. You aren't going to find cheaper (regular everyday) prices around town.
My other big gripe was the part of the piece where they damaged some Windows files and expected them to just repair it. If you thought that the OS was borked and were going to back up the data then do a Windows repair, you might as well back up their data then reformat and do a clean OS install. It's going to take the same billable time and time on the clock. Why did the the reporters say that should cost $60?
Finally, while the Geek Squad technician did the wrong diagnosis and proclaimed the PC dead, the journalists made a big deal that he showed them a new PC that (gasp!) his company sells.
I'm guessing this is what they expected to hear: Tech: "Honestly, it's a pretty old computer and the fix would be expensive. You could buy a nice new computer for that much money." Customer: "Well show me what these computers have and how much they cost." Tech: "FUCK YOU LADY! I am a professional! I INSIST you only buy it from someone else."
There were several questions where three of the four multiple choice answers were correct, but you HAD to KNOW the "Microsoft Official Way (TM)" of doing it.
Amen to that. I'm studying up for my MCP 70-270 exam, and was taking a practice exam that I ran into a lot of that. I disputed one of them because the questions "preferred" answer was in direct condtradiction to what the question asked. (It was a Catch-22 about shared folder permissions.) Also, someone should be bludgeoned for the "first thing to try" type of questions. I appreciate the spirit of that idea, but on the jobsite it's all about (a) was it fixed? (b) was it done fast? An experienced tech/ admin will go right to what the cause was the last time they had such a problem.
Which would then lead to a conversation how this very well could be the eventual future of all cell phones.
Oh great, that's exactly what a Linksys iPhone works: it is just a wifi VOIP phone for around the house. Now one side will have to sue the other, and/. will have more iPhone stories.
If you can pray to Crom for vengeance, I'd say Blizzard is screwed.
That's because they found out it was only a Mac Mini and gave up.
welcome our new Chaos overlords.

All good topics need an XKCD link. http://xkcd.com/258/

The credits don't say, but I think it's Danny Trejo. He's done voices on King of the Hill.

I was wondering why they can't afford more bandwidth.
...turn it into a weapon?
Besides the previously mentioned cell expansion...
Shirley you aren't serious.

That only works on the server that's the root of the Active Directory forest.
