Agree - it only takes a single fuckup for people to lose control of their data (whether running an application or phishing scam). Though it is a concern that everyone has these accounts linked.
I concur. And well done on getting the first post.
It now takes 3-5 seconds to 'preview' a one line text post, so my days of first posting are clearly numbered! Maybe that was the intent?
If a game is good, charge a nominal fee which includes patches, etc and ability to play online.
Those who dont want to pay can play the local version (and may get hooked and end up paying)
Except perhaps a gently sloped parabolic ramp - just enough to guide it up and out of harms way.
Does anyone know why is my karma rated as terrible

FIRST POST BIATCHES
Ah, SHIT - I've done it again... never mind. I just cant seem to resist getting a First Post (mind you - this shouldn't ban me for life as 'terrible' karma - should it?)
f you want an example of a really good film adaption, look at the recent Charlie and the chocolate factory.
Ah, very funny - you're kidding right? - you are comparing a kids book adapted to a movie, compared to a 1,000+ page epic masterpiece done (quite well) into 3 successful movies.
Sorry - bad comparison there buddy. Peter Jackson did a great job of getting the feel of the books through - I honestly didnt think it was possible and I dreaded going to the cinemas to see them, but I was pleasantly suprised.
I built a single board computer in the early 80's which had a clock frequency controlled by a variable RC circuit - it ran at up to 100kHz but you could turn it down to less than a Hz (made learning and debugging simpler).
I really wish they had this feature in todays PC's so you could adjust how fast you want it to run (and hence how hot the damn thing gets)
and once the reputation is established, if the content is good then I will pay for it no matter what format it comes in (and the web is certainly the easiest)
My god - surely any manufacturer that limits their drivers to vista only would be insane.
Any new OS is going to be slower than the previous one - this is easily tested by dual booting and checking for yourself - this means that unless there is a compelling reason to upgrade, WHY would anyone want to slow themselves down?
I've heard that penalties for white collar crime were a lot harsher than real life crimes.
You can beat someone almost to death and take their wallet, and get minimal time, but steal money from a corporation online and expect a much harsher sentence.
As has happened many times before, What starts as a simple censorship of a website ALWAYS turns into more nastier things while the 'people in charge' are trying to control the masses.
How stupid are these governments - really. Do they honestly believe that the problems of their country can be solved by stopping someone having a GMail account, or preventing them looking up camel porn on google?
Iran is in a desperate attempt to return to old school biblical times (great if you are not a woman - "Iran has tough censorship on internet access.... as well as womens rights") and are now clutching at straws - it can only result in resentment from the citizens.
Yeh, I dont get these price fixing claims - how in the hell do we know how much they spend on researching alone. It must be a fair bit because the size of cheap memory seems to exceed Moores law at the moment.
When a 1G module costs about $10 I wouldn't be complaining - now Oil companies on the other hand...
... bitches

I havent used a scope in a long time but I loved the HP digital scopes.
Best User interface i've come across - they had a "Dont Care" button, which was suprisingly useful.
I think OS's should have some something similar. [Yes] [No] [Fuck off, I dont care]

Screenshots dont look too spectacular - how do we know they didnt just create a bunch of accounts and post shit on their website.
Or is that what passes off as hacking these days?
Well as an Astronaut, of COURSE it is better to telecommute.
The commute to the space station is a real bitch
Ah, so this is the new trolltalk sid - cool thanks guys.
Most people here wouldn't have fallen for it.
The people who did fall for it in the army would get a 3 hour training session by powerpoint which would discourage them from ever doing it again.

porn on the train at last (and this time without angry guards and annoyed passengers)
I'll say it's lame.
I hate propriety formats and limitations but now they want to FORCE companies to build in features or supporting a format - get bent.

Quite common eh?
Ok, name 3 bits of hardware with Vista only drivers

Japan is pretty small, so it wouldnt cost as much to roll a new infrastructure every 5-7 years. Unlike the US or Australia.
There was more than one physical person on trolltalk?
I thought it was just me and someone else and a heap of sock puppets?
RIP Trolltalk - it was a lot of fun while it lasted

Of all the corporate CEO's, I think these guys deserve it!
... it isnt about revenue (not ALL the time).
It is about managing the amount of available parking spaces.
I'd hate to see parking meters being sold to the highest bidder - nah, sorry Apple. You'll have to provide your own parking.
