You clueless twat! Software checks the version of the OS in many different ways, not using the methods prescribed by Microsoft.

So when this happens, they're actually pulling out the name of the OS rather than check if it's Windows based on DOS or Windows NT, and rather than checking the specific kernel version. They also don't check for specific features as they should, relying on it being a specific version of Windows, which is not good coding practice. This mistake means that modern software might refuse to install thinking it's Windows 9x, or it might install the incorrect version of an app thinking that Windows 9x has been detected.

In my software I don't check the title of the OS, so I never had this problem... But knowing how retarded most other programmers are, they don't use the best or most sophisticated approaches, and recall that almost anyone can program so you get a lot of noobish shit even in the commercial realm (people code for cash or because they like computers, not because they're good at it).

Before its time? Sort of like the developer pushed some techniques that ended up being unfeasable on modern hardware, needing every ounce of performance they could muster, just to make it playable.

Honestly This looks like the case of a game that was not even capable of running well on todays hardware, it will be next generation and generation after that when the game runs fine. By history PC games suffered from this problem, you would buy a game which would perform poorly on most hardware only for it to suddenly run like butter on a system bought years later, meaning frame rate dips and all that were entirely normal but would be fixed when hardware upgrades were achieved.

The comments about mantle and shit, damn right if they wanted to build a beastly game they could have used every method possible to get extra performance out of today's stuff. But to be fair mantle only removes some of the overhead from using the DirectX API, moving it closer to the metal which can reduce CPU and GPU cycles for the same operation but isn't necessarily going to solve the problem if this game needs future hardware with vastly higher amounts of compute power.

Why is Ubisoft blaming AMD here? Most likely, because AMD CPUs are not as fast as Intel ones, and you can gain some performance by using Intel. But Intel also costs more, so blaming this on AMD doesn't seem fair, it's Ubisoft's fault for pushing the hardware to it's limits. I think Ubisoft is putting blame where it is not warranted, because overall, this sounds like a beast of a game that simply requires waiting a year ot two to play to avoid the performance hickups of today's hardware. The console versions obviously could have been scaled waaay back, and they would run without a hitch. Its a design choice Ubisoft's developers made to do what they did, ultimately, knowing they were going to be limited by the Xbox One and PS4 and PC hardwares performance.

By rejecting email from private email servers, they are in fact interfering with the way SMTP and Internet mail is set up. Email should be delivered non-discriminately, but by Gmail and Hotmail blocking stuff, they are actually trying to force people who use third party services to use their services to send and receive mail. "Either switch, or have your mail go undelivered."

The SMTP specification was not set up to allow companies to monopolize off the traffic but that's how it's being done today.

Also, I myself host my own mail server. I host it in a VPS, a server in Seattle, WA, w/ static IPs. The server is set up w/ proper SPF records. Most mail goes through, but I do get a lot of rejections by a large amount of providers who automatically flag it as "SPAM" or it's blocked by "Content filtering". AOL seems to block most of my messages exclusively. As does many super aggressive spam filtering set ups..

Gmail puts it right in the inbox half the time, Yahoo sent it to spam box the first receipt, then sent it to inbox after I flagged one message as not spam.

Overall the system is borked. By that, I mean there is no way to guarantee any message is not marked as spam, and the filters seem to be arbitrary and mark many non-spam messages as spam OFF and ON regardless of where the message is sent from.

On my Gmail and Yahoo! account I notice this the most. It's also why I think all anti-spam measures are broken, because it's easy to get bounced messages and messages sent to SPAM folder ..

What I do know is that there is no solution other than to get these providers of anti-spam services and these large email providers to fix their stupid services, perhaps implementing a system that only flags actual SPAM messages as SPAM and is set to never bounce or reject any message at all.

What goes on is that media ultimately shapes and programs people into certain molds. They learn stereotypes, behaviors, dislikes, and appropriateness, by mimicking what they see and having their brain stimulated by what they come into contact with. So if they were exposed to things that made them feel like the whole realm was meant for boys, and if everyone felt that was "right" when they actually came into contact with it (basically if peoples brains actually were already programmed to listen to the massly broadcasted mind control messages fed by media, corporations, and blah, blah), they would basically believe that and fall into the molds.

Now schools and stuff play a roll, too. So if in early childhood, and early life experiences, there gender differences were programmed, each person would naturally in their own mind tend to follow the paths that were seemingly appropriate, laid out for them, and all that. What's worse is each person would physically follow this and believe it, and continue the pattern and practice of discussing, feeling, and seeing the world through these narrow means, because they themselves had been programmed to think and follow and know only that. The way the brain works of course, are the ideas, conceptions, things people see, hear, all that, images and sound broadcast into the mind through TV and radio, stereotyping or even just joking and satire, all this shapes the mind because stimulation like this makes those brain regions more dominant, it basically molds their personality and perceptions and behaviors, no one can actually escape it. This is why seeding healthy messages early is important, but in a capitalistic society where things are only done for profit rather than for best outcome, this isn't happening. Also military and government like us to be retarded, there are ties to early mind control tactics developed by the CIA, Disney, and others, that essentially help to control society and make it more profitable and more of what it is today. The Snowden leaks were good, but myself, a DOD/CIA whistleblower Dr. Robert Duncan, and another NSA whistleblower Russell Tice, have repeatedly pointed out that the Snowden leaks were rubbish and hid many methods of spying. Tice himself worked with space capability and satellites in the black world doing warrantless surveillance on Americans, yet not a single document of Snowden's contains information on this. Tice claims it was because Snowden was a low leveler with only access to one particular NSA system, while several other systems were not provided. Makes sense. Tice says these other systems operate on computer networks of their own, and are classified under "Special Access Programs," "Exceptionally Controlled Information" programs, and "Very Restricted Knowledge" programs. Duncan himself worked on many of the systems and has seen his work classified, then later dumped to the public for use. But he backs Tice up, basically they have several technologies he worked on from space capability, like tracking breathe and heart rate, and license plates. To mind reading and mind altering technologies, fully deployed and in use today, fully patented. There's also building and ground penetrating radar technologies, that work FROM SPACE and are being used today, to actually spy on and scan people remotely like tracking air craft or other objects.

Not a single leak from Snowden covered the NSAs ability to read emanations of electromagnetic frequencies from space or radar, but they're capable of that as well. Ok there are lots of ways to do illegal search.
