Oblig. Spamusement
-
Re:Spam emails always have something misspelled"Fascinating ass" just leaves the image of someone mooning a bar brawl and everyone stopping to stare, transfixed. Or, perhaps, a captivating donkey.
(Sigh.) Oh, Spamusement, how I miss thee.

Obligatory Spamusement reference
And it's the first strip too: Give Her More Meat.

Not dead at all (was: Re:Obligatory webcomic link)
Actually the forums are still quite active, with several comics posted in the Guest Strips forum every day.

Obligatory webcomic link
http://www.spamusement.com/
Not really a webcomic, not really updated any longer, and I'm unsure if it's completely safe for work. -
It was funnier when
It was funnier when stevenf did it five years ago. http://spamusement.com/

Re:Gorilla Arm Syndrome
I have "Gorilla Arm Syndrome." But it happened nothing like you've explained http://spamusement.com/index.php/comics/view/105

Re:How the hell...
Then, I take it you're a big fan of Spamusement.
-
Spamusement
It's not the same cartoon, but Spamusement ran for about two years taking spam subjects and illustrating them in ways that, in all probability, were not what the spammer intended to get across.
The official comic hasn't been updated in almost 2 years, but the archive is still up, and last I looked the forums had turned into a community of people doing unofficial strips.

Spamusement?
I was expecting this story to link to http://www.spamusement.com/
... "Poorly-drawn cartoons inspired by actual spam subject lines!" -
Re:Spam != Art
this guy admits that his drawings are not good, but i think it is funny stuff: http://www.spamusement.com/
-
Re:Sorry.
There's much more correlation between the spam's (literal, not intended
;) text and the "art", at http://spamusement.com/. "Poorly-drawn cartoons inspired by actual spam subject lines!" -
Re:But where do they put them?
Well, now you know.
-
Re:the new MS tag line...
"Microsoft, saving your life, one microsecond at a time..."
That reminded me of this Bill Gates cartoon. -
Re:Let it go man!
I suppose there are people using the abacus too.
Nah, it's more of a cry for help

COOKIE!
Ooh, [Listening to 11.975Mhz] = I like it! Thanks muchly for the linkage.
It is inducing gigglement, and the cute girls make it worthwhile.
:D But it does not immediately strike me as brilliant in the same way as Pokey does. 11.975Mhz seems to be more silliness/randomness based. I can appreciate silliness and randomness, but I see some major distinction between that and Pokey's style. Words fail me, however, in actually explaining this distinction. What do you think?I also recommend Farchie Archie, Spamusement, and Animutation. (The latter is a Flash genre rather than a comic strip, but it's a similar sort of humour.)

A non-idiotic geek comic
Spamusement: If you don't read it, then you're a worthless excuse for a human being!
Dude. This guy collects spam with amusing subject lines, and he illustrates them in completely unexpected ways. Is that fucking awesome or what?
Furthermore, it's by Steven Frank of Panic, Inc. They make excellent OS X applications. Support him by partaking in his software and/or his funny.

Martian BSOD?
Perhaps it is just an education tool to show martians the meaning of BSOD.
Well, why not, after all, even Bill Gates got one. -

... and does this -
Oh no!
I hope this doesn't take away from my spamusement fun!
-
Re:Sweet!
you totally forgot jarjar's erotic adventure.
-
My one regret...
...is that if and when spam is ever eliminated, it would mean the end of Spamusement. http://www.spamusement.com/ I actually look through my spam to find the weirdest subject headings to send to the guy who makes the cartoon. It's the best use for spam I've yet to see.

Re:porn better than crack
obligatory spamusement link.
Oh, and for those who don't know, spamusement is 'poorly-drawn cartoons inspired by actual spam subject lines'. Go see. -
