Short Answer: No.
Slightly longer answer: SyFy Original Mega Python Vs Gatoroid
SyFy (I prefer to pronounce it "Sih-Fee" since it has almost no sci-fi anymore) has gone in the crapper. I remember when they used to have tons of awesome sci-fi, not to mention being the home of things like Stargate, one of the most trumpeted sci-fi franchises in history, and great unique things like Mystery Science Theater 3000. Now, they have this crap Mega whatever Vs. Whateveroid, surrounded by syndicated shows and wrestling. Really? How is Wrestling sci-fi? Perhaps it is "Sih-Fee", but certainly not Sci-Fi. There is nothing Sci-Fi about of bunch of dudes running around in spandex. And no, I don't hate wrestling. I grew up with it, but that isn't the point. SyFy has become just like every other station, doing whatever they can to whore themselves out to make the most money. Lifelong viewers be damned. Now I know it is their right to do whatever they want on their station, but for them to kill off entire franchises and at the same time move in crap like WWE Smackdown and freakin Mega Python Vs Gatoroid, as a life-long sci-fi fan and "Sih-Fee" watcher, I can't help but feel scorned.
Also, if you feel the need to disagree, please don't throw the "Caprica and/or Stargate: Universe were bad shows" argument at me, because they killed them before they had a chance to flourish. They didn't even bother informing the actors on Stargate that the show was canceled. Shows exactly what SyFy thinks of their talent and fans.

Re:Let that be a lesson to you!
Phil was murdered by his wife, not a crazy stalker ex-wife. Granted, she was crazy and on drugs, but she was his wife. I will always hate Andy Dick for he did (not that there weren't enough reasons already) and I will always respect Jon Lovitz for beating the crap out of him for it. http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/07/17/jon-lovitz-beats-up-andy-dick/

My install of Vista Ultimate 64 bit has been up for over 100 days on my media center. If I did not mostly use it to watch netflix I would use another DVR interface but thems the brakes.

Re:Congrats!
Sounds like another late '70s space comedy show.

Re:Why is the government even subsidizing this?
There's a congressional mandate that cable companies have to continue to provide NTSC over their system until 2012. After that, you'll need digital cable service, or a converter box.
They will stop broadcasting analog TV as soon as they can, because it takes-up valuable spectrum. With h.264, the same 6 MHz channel required for every NTSC analog channel can house several standard-definition digital channels, or two to three high-definition digital channels.

Old news is better than no news I guess...
-
Yeah, expect a lot more of that sort of trouble.
You know the ghost that uses the white space to communicate on the tv and recorders? Won't they get pissed now that thier channels are getting clogged?
Sure.
Remember what they already did to that little kid in _Poltergeist_? We can expect a LOT more of that.

Re:Oh no!I would feel much more comfortable being judged by a computer algorithm. At least then trials would be deterministic. Should I cite examples of the trials of Roge Blake or Space Commander Travis of Blakes 7, the law system of The Cluster in the Lexx four-part miniseries Tales from a Parallel Universe (especially the trial of Thodin), the system of instant justice in the megacities of Judge Dredd, or the legal system of the Edo in Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Justice"? I can't decide!

Re:I bought the dvd the day it came out
"I was rather disappointed with it. It had some funny moments, for sure, but for the most part, we were bored."
I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. It seems like they were trying to hard with the writing, and adding too many subplots to a movie that already has some complicated time-travel stuff going on seemed like a mistake.
I would imagine the fact that they plan to cut each movie up into four discrete episodes in order to air them on Comedy Central is responsible for some of these issues. I wish they had either chosen to do them as episodes alone or as just a movie. It's too much to ask of your writers, otherwise. -
Wil's ST:TNG Reviews
If you were/are a fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation, go and read Wil's own TNG episode reviews at TV Squad.
I guarantee you - you will almost die laughing.

Re:Really very good
WIl, I really enjoy your writing about being a father and a geek but I especially like the reviews of STTNG episodes on TV Squad.

The insider references are great, but the writing itself is hilarious. Rarely have I laughed more than when reading your one-liners and non-sequiturs. When are you going to do more of those? -

Blink!
I thought "Blink" was by far the best Dr. Who episode this season.. can't believe it wasn't listed there.
Anyways, are they really canceling this show after next season?? I do hope it continues. -
Re:Vice versa
A quick search turned up a story on Duane "Dog" Chapman, a supposed bounty hunter who was wanted in Mexico. I hadn't heard of this until I looked it up so I can't guarantee any facts. He was arrested by US marshals and held pending being extradited to Mexico (some TV show's coverage). It looks like they'll extradite him unless his supporters can convince the Mexican government to drop the charges (resolution here).
I also have another one of a foreigner being sent to the US -- so it's not just Australia -- not that that's a good thing.
Some conjecture that I can't back up follows: I've read that the US rarely agrees to send their citizens overseas, rather just denying the extradition requests when they are in the courts. -

Shameless Billy West plug
We did the last interview before the announcement over on TV Squad. :) He was very cool enough to do an intro for one of our podcasts, too, complete with most of his voices. You know, to hold you over and stuff.

Yes, according to a recent interview.
Via TV Squad:
Somebody go correct the Wikipedia entry.JK: Did Zapp Brannigan change much? Because I saw the first episode he was in and it sounded pretty much like how he sounded later.
BW: Did he change? Um, I don't know, I try to keep it pretty consistent. Phil Hartman was supposed to do that character, and I was imitating Phil Hartman. I knew Phil Hartman; when I came to work with him on some commercials and stuff out here in Hollywood, we both had this real fascination and love for these big, old-time dumb announcers. You know, the guys who have their balls in a wheelbarrow and think that every word is so precious that it's hard to give birth to it, like everything comes out in four syllables instead of one. Guys who think far and away that of everything else in this universe, he loves his voice. So that's what was going on with him. He's modeled after a couple of big dumb announcers I knew.
Fry was named after Phil. Phillip Fry.

Re:-1 Troll
Actually, many higher income people don't have cable or satellite as well. A recent study revealed that the Minneapolis/St. Paul Tv market has one of the smallest percentages of homes with cable/satellite usage. One of their explanations for this was the releatively high number of college graduates in the area. Here's the best link on this I could find. Note that what's being discussed here is a little bit different (TVs vs. households), but it is still an interesting comparison.
