Re:Fake News
Continuing skepticism in the face of overwhelming evidence doesn't make you look clever or thoughtful. It makes you look like a partisan zealot refusing to admit when you're wrong. Here, you can read it right on their own Twitter feed:
https://twitter.com/KHayhoe/st...
https://twitter.com/KHayhoe/st...https://twitter.com/bobkopp/st...
https://twitter.com/bobkopp/st...The scientists who authored the report are confused as to why this is a story, and you're going to quibble over "publicly available" semantics? No, it was put up on public sites for "public comments". That's hardly equivalent to a "leak", and you damn well know it. I can't believe you're seriously making that argument. Or else, you're doing an awesome job of trolling me right now.
And seriously, "fake news" is an alt-right conspiracy? Are you kidding me? That was a narrative started by the left/mainstream media to explain how Hillary could have possibly lost the election. But the left gets hoist by their own petard whenever something like this happens, as reporters occasionally demonstrate a complete disregard for the most basic fact-checking before they breathlessly run a story that just happens to show the current administration in a bad light. We saw it happen with the Washington Post and the "Russians hacking the electrical grid" nonsense (they didn't even bother contacting Burlington Electric for a statement), and we see it now again with the non-existent fact-checking of the New York Times before publishing a completely made-up story.
Would I call that "fake news"? No, not really. Just plain bad journalism. But in the end, it really amounts to the same thing - misinformation presented as news.

Responses from President Trump
"North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States," warned Mr. Trump from his golf club in Bedminster.
"They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen," he told reporters. "He has been very threatening -- beyond a normal statement," Mr. Trump said of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. "As I said, they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before."
— President Donald Trump, 2017 Aug 8
Be prepared, there is a small chance that our horrendous leadership could unknowingly lead us into World War III.

Re:They did explain where he was wrong
No, it's scientifically proven differences that contradict the SJW morality, eg. https://twitter.com/sentientis... . But batshit crazy SJW will probably answer that "no science is absolute", until they'll say that "climate change" is absolute and cannot be denied... All in all, for batshit crazy SJW, word have different meaning whether or not it proves their argument, and this meaning is not absolute and can change in a text to fit their agenda.

Re:Is Breitbart actually fake news?
Well for one, the Breitbart.com website has been scrubbed of all the Pizzagate articles due to the blowback form the gunman entering the restaurant, but there are still tweets from the late Andrew Breitbart himself accusing John Podesta of running a pedophilia ring which spawned htis whole mess. There's the ACORN BS.
Others off the top of mhttps://news.slashdot.org/story/17/08/07/2035221/first-evidence-that-social-bots-play-a-major-role-in-spreading-fake-news#y head: numerous birther "proof" articles, birth control pills make women unattractive, demonstrably false captions/reused images to allege violence at BLM rallies, etc. etc.

And Minds.com is crowing
people who want to read the tweets of the President don't need a twitter account to read them. and twitter has instituted policies as of late that turns may people off from joining for example the "Trust and Safety console" https://about.twitter.com/safe... which has on its board a very loaded selection for example the perpetrator of the famous vid-con "Garbage Human" incident On the other hand the platform Minds.com is growing based on its policies based of free speech.

Re:As a moderate, I got tired of smug leftists.
The recent tweets from President Trump about transsexuals in the military are a great example. Let's take this one in particular. It very reasonably explains the rationale for his decision. Cost and disruption are important factors to consider with any decision. In terms of its presentation, it is well-written, legible, and presidential.
Now look at the replies to that tweet. The ones I'm seeing include comments like:
I didn't see one reply that presented a reasonable, considerate, intelligent rebuttal of what the President said.
One reply after another was from outraged leftists using insults and attacks like those above. They aren't even particularly creative or insightful or witty insults. They're just the most basic bottom-of-the-barrel insults, devoid of any substance.
It's even stranger when you consider that leftists are the ones who are always saying how bad it is to bully people. Yet here we have multiple examples of them acting in a very hypocritical and childish manner, launching one personal attack after another filled with extreme hatred and vitriol.
Those replies are prefect examples of why normal, reasonable people are starting to want nothing to do with Twitter. Normal, reasonable, intelligent people don't want to be subjected to comments like those.

Re:Opacity: The American Tradition
Yes, Obama promised to shut down Guantanamo and ended up being worse for civil liberties than Bush. He promised transparency, but his legacy is the war on whistleblowers and an expansion of the powers needed to prosecute that war that now belongs to future presidents.

Re:It's like he thinks he's on Reality TV
As someone who spent seven years in active service, and trained many soldiers in Canada, worrying about someone's sexual orientation or whatever was dead last on my concerns. As in never spent a moment thinking about it, or caring about it.
That's exactly what he's trying to allow to continue to happen. Read his tweet for yourself. It contains this:
... cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption
...The "disruption" that President Trump refers to is exactly what you're talking about and what you want to avoid, too.
Maybe the leftist misrepresentation of this matter has confused you, but both you and President Trump are on the same page, and wanting the exact same outcome.
Neither of you want soldiers and their commanders distracted by something like gender perception (or "sexual orientation", as you mistakenly refer to it) when facing dangerous, volatile, life-and-death situations.
The only ones who are want this to become a disruptive issue are the political left. It's the political left that wants to make the entire military organization worry about gender and sexual orientation and stuff like that, instead of focusing on far more important issues, like staying alive while defeating enemies.

Re:Who defines what is hateful
Yes, if "Hate speech is not protected by the first amendment," then whatever the powerful doesn't like becomes hate speech. So far mostly only the left is pushing that notion, but the right could easily learn from them. Then when right-wingers are in power, pro-freedom statements will be construed as hateful. Once you've compromised free speech, the only question becomes whether you'll get sent to the gulag or a concentration camp.

have we found a way to get a robot to be POTUS?

Re:What they are really saying
No, it's simpler than that. It's just a campaign to confuse people. It's pure FUD to get people to stop caring about it.

"Putin & I... impenetrable Cyber Security unit
That sounds like what he discussed with Putin:
"Putin & I discussed forming an impenetrable Cyber Security unit so that election hacking, & many other negative things, will be guarded."
Donald Trump, July 9th, 2017
https://twitter.com/realDonald...The next day he said tweeted "The fact that President Putin and I discussed a Cyber Security unit doesn't mean I think it can happen. It can't..." But maybe it can. Perhaps Putin's role in it is one of the "Details [that] are still being worked out, but officials say they expect a decision and announcement in the coming weeks."

Do AMD CPUs still contain PSP rootkit?
Intel has serious security problems with their FSP and management engine blobs, which for example break verified boot on ChromeOS such that NSA could implant a persistent rootkit that bypasses ChromeOS's key verification, without holding Google's private key and without physical access to the device.
The way this works is that management engine blobs must exist, or else the CPU reboots a few seconds after startup. While you can check the signature on the blob, you can't check the signature on the blob before it gets control, which is what verified boot requires. It's not just a matter of source code. Although more source code does need to be provided for security, realistically there are some black boxes in the CPU ("microcode", etc.), but this is a writeable black box that can be overwritten with a rootkit on the victim's computer, yet not distributed to all other computers so it can't be studied, and so there isn't a record of their collaboration or incompetence later to hold them accountable. Verified boot resists attacks by at least forcing all computers to be the same: all backdoored or none backdoored, while we know NSA prefers to target individuals (1) because people aware of a leak plug it. unaware targets leak more. (2) for NOBU. known backdoors can be reused by others. (3) because otherwise their relationship with collaborating US companies would be come impossible. IMHO Intel is basically offering up a silver-platter backdoor to them, but the "management engine" and "RAM initialization and stuff" excuses are just plausible enough for credulous neckties to claim deniability and buy Intel.
AMD has all the same problems with their "PSP". Snowden has suggested this is the time for AMD to offer an alternative to this backdoored-by-design US CPU that's built from the ground up with a welcoming, unremovable module perfectly fitting the way US spy agency likes to implant things.
AMD, is there any progress on this? You seem to have backslided since Athlon FX, yet now it's more important than ever to get this situation cleaned up.

Re:100%
Oh and just because. Remember this is harassment but it's not harassment when we do it. Also if someone on the "alt-right" or 3rd party troll used the #gamergate hashtag there would be around 40 articles on all the popular sites. But uh, kinda quiet out there isn't it. Must be because Laci Green walked off the plantation and that makes her an unperson now.

Re:Easy
I just program in write only languages like Perl so I never have to worry about this problem.
To pronounce it correctly, I would have to...pull out your tongue.
