It's not a rumor. He did, in fact, withhold his birth certificate. He knew all along that to quell rumors he should release the long form. He chose not to for several years. He's special.

Well no, he tried to *not* be special by not circumventing Hawaiian law to obtain a record that a normal citizen would not have access to. He released the only document that Hawaii would provide to him as proof of birth:

What amazes me is how overblown this thing is. Let's see last year all of the A380s were grounded because of wing cracks which is the latest in a long list of teething issues for that aircraft. Yes, there's a problem and when the 787 was undergoing certification testing there were problems with the electrical system.

All aircraft go through shakedown periods after they are put into the marketplace and sometimes it takes years for problems to show up.

So before everybody starts playing the blame game just understand that no complex system is without problems especially initially with less than 50 planes delivered thus far in the production run. The Lithium Battery question had been asked and answered to the satisfaction of the FAA and if it ultimately proves that there was a problem with those initial conclusions, then the FAA will have to change their regulations to cope with the issue. OK, 1.5 months later, and it's still 1500 degrees. jet fuel and offices only burn at 600 F. What process created enough heat to get the steel temperatures to over 2500 degrees? Remember, you can't 'concentrate' heat. A heated element will get get hotter than the heat source.

What I'd like to see is a full video of the simulated collapse superimposed on a video of the actual collapse and see how well they match up. I have a hard time believing that the fire dept (or someone from the dept) wouldn't admit that they had brought the building down.

There is no "our current policy with respect to Afghanistan"! Those who kill would easily kill you too. There is no our. That's just ignorant, arrogant, American thinking. Do you really think that the U.S. government can kill people in foreign countries and there will never be any repercussions?

If you are a U.S. taxpayer, you pay. You suffer the loss of respect for your country. You suffer through the arranged inflation that pays for the killing. That's your entire involvement.

The "current policy with respect to Afghanistan" is CERTAINLY something a person like you will never be allowed to know completely. However, it is known, and often mentioned, if you bother to read the books about U.S. government corruption, that oil companies want to build an oil pipeline through Afghanistan. THAT is the reason for the fighting in Afghanistan, both by the Soviets and the U.S. government.

When you talk about "our" policy, does that mean you would easily kill someone who stands in the way of you making more money? Are you a violent psychopathic killer? I don't think so. I think you are just very, very ignorant about the corruption in the U.S. government. Educate yourself.

Fancy that... The government to hide something. Not like any agent of the government, elected or not, has ever tried to do anything like that. Land mines in Central America (Iran Contra affair), Weapons for hostages (Iran hostage crisis), The The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, or the Lies of the Century (this site will tick some people off!). There are so many examples of people in government doing exactly what you are arguing they would not do for whatever reason. They do not care what the future has in store. They are only focused on getting through their fears of today.
