MC Hammer Launches a Search Engine

MC Hammer was among tech entrepreneurs announcing new products at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. The rapper's product is a new search engine called WireDoo. Sadly, it is not an index of things you can't touch, but instead a search engine focusing on relational items. Searching for the word "car" will bring up topics related to a car, like insurance, pricing and safety ratings. WireDoo is still being built and not available to the public yet.

The reason why the tests Google did showed within Bing when Bing toolbar was installed because if users opt-in to it, it collects usage data on what links people click and their anchor texts. The reasoning for this being, if user thinks that the link is relevant, then it can be uses only one vector in Bing. It's only a really small part of it, but because Google used non-existing words within links they obviously didn't show any other results than Google's. And this behavior isn't limited to Bing only - Google uses tons of similar usage analysis to determine search page rankings and to gather information about new sites and pages.

I have amazing distributed video streaming software I'm working on. When I'm done working out the kinks an making sure it scales, I plan to take up contact with celebrities and completely skip over any mention of technology challenges, pretend that it's just. a marketing thing like launching a TV channel. In the end I'll have my little YouTube and they'll have their own "Internet TV thing" with their likeness. After all celebrities often eye Internet money with envy but no one ever asks themfor $170,000 to VC one. Until this slashdot article that is ;-)

muhahahhaha. great minds think alike, my little MC-Hammer-trolling engineer :)

Sounds like you never knew the scope of MC Hammer's work.

Adams Family Values? Do you not remember that he had more than 2 famous albums? The reason MC Hammer failed was because after his successes he, just like The Fat Boys, entered into the perverted world of Gangstduh Rape and unlike The Fat Boys (EverythingButt.Com) he actually had a heart that felt sorry for bringing children near that sadistic wicked world.

I think the reason why he got pulled back out of Gangstduh Rape was because people were praying for him. I seriously do. He went from a beautiful crew of hired underpayed dancers to verry few under that decrepid banter of hate-speak. Whether he changed ship for fiscal reasons or product placement, he returned back to where the heart is and where he is needed the most: gospel. When he tried Gangstduh Rape he was riducled by industry perverts Ice Cube and Ice Tea and all those bastards, because his lyrics didn't murder your soul while sodomizing your sister.

But don't take my word for it.

You do what you wanna do, say what you wanna say, live how you wanna live, play how you wanna play, dance how you wanna dance, kick/punch/hand-slap your friends: The Adams Family.
