What's going on is that the user that found this has rooted his phone and noticed that the FB app requested for privilege escalation.
An Android user who hasn't rooted his phone will not see such a request (from any app) since they don't have root to begin with.
This is either a bug in the code that triggered privileged escalation, OR it is intentional. You pick.:)
I'd short it if I had any idea when the bubble would burst. You need to time it just right, and I'm just not good at predicting when wall street will come to their senses on these sorts of tech bubble stocks.
Just buy some long term PUTS and you'll be fine. No need to predict much there. Just sit and wait. (don't use margin)
If you think your can hear the difference between 320kbps and lossless on a 44.1/16 track, you deserve to pay the extra $10 a month.
If you can *actually* hear the difference between 320kbps and lossless on a 44.1/16 track, and complain about it, you shouldn't want to listen to 44.1/16 music in the first place.
If you've destroyed your hearing sensitivity to not discern compressed music vs uncompressed, then you should be grateful a cheaper version option exists.
Classical music is a great example, but if you are trying to hear the difference between a 320 kbps MP3 vs FLAC of Big Daddy Kane then the purpose will be missed.
Sounds like with the addition of wireless charging, lack of headphone jack, and removing the home button - they are on track to make a phone that is a totally sealed slab. Once the last remaining physical connector goes away, it would be trivial to make a waterproof, dust-proof device.
Side benefit for Apple - even harder to replace the battery.
I didn't know that Apple was on a holy quest to go all waterproof.
That's what happens when a company does not deliver hot devices. Those that come up with explosive handsets are doing much better. Indeed, they have rekindled the public's interest, with their money now burning a hole in their pockets. Such fiery companies are searing the competition.
What's not hot about the V20. It's an awesome device. It just costs $800.
Leased lines? Are you replying to the right thread? I simply stated that one should airgap their domains and not connect critical infrastructure to the Internet.
If one HAS to be on the Internet, then use a data guard.
Have you seen the screenshot for that product? Talk about "cumbersome". I wouldn't want to have to use this accessory with a Desktop. A SD card slot is so minuscule. Apple is so weird.
I can see this being useful as add-on to a more comprehensive search engine in the long run. Or perhaps integrated more tightly into a mobile offering somehow.
Since the article states that this search engine isn't meant as a âoecompetitive attempt to recreate searchâ, he likely is positioning this to be bought by a big company.
Notice what he said at the end of the presentation.

I love this post, thanks for sharing it. I also wish well for Honeycomb, after all, Android has been the best thing to happen to iOS. Without Android, iOS would never had done many things it's now doing. Competition is always good. Unfortunately, even once out, it will take a while for Honeycomb app market to catch up. They will be over a year behind and they wont be catching up on day one by just being there.
iOS wouldn't be able to do what things without Android? I'm curious.
But it has. I don't know anyone with an MP3 player.
But yet and still Apple sells almost 50 million iPods a year (70%+ market share) and iTunes is the number one music retailer in the world.....
Phones have leap over mp3 players
Where can I buy a phone with 160GB of storage (iPod Classic) or even 64GB of storage of the Touch?
I'd say that the first generation devices have huge advantages because consumers are naive at first. That doesn't usually last and they'll flee the walled garden in time.
So why have most major developers reported abysmal sells in the Android App Market compared to the iPhone App store even though Android market share is at least half that of the iPhone?
"No more EA games for me. I'm getting old anyway. Time to switch to online Scrabble or something. Flash DigDug and Galaga FTW."
EA and Hasbro are in cahoots with Scrabble too.
I guess you won't be looking forward to that triple words score now.:(
An exchange of public keys has to take place first before data is encrypted? I don't know this is going to be enforced. The receiving party has to have your public key first.
I bet all that happens out of this is a bunch of signed e-mails.

Well eBay's interface works well which is why it hasn't changed much in the traditional sense. However, factually speaking, Google's interface has changed since inception. I know you were just exaggerating but just look at the two:

And why all of a sudden does Real, Yahoo, Napster, Dell, Creative, and any other company want to deal with Apple now?? Where were they when Mac users have been wanting QUALITY equivalents of their other products??
So YES, if Apple hadn't come out with the iPod and [they] did, would you see all of what they are offering now on the Windows platform also on OS X? NO! So why would Jobs say, "OK" now? Besides iTunes is already on Windows anyway. If you don't like DRM then go buy your music from allofmp3.com and put it on your iPod.
Problem solved.

Why does it need such deep hooks? Why can't the Echo just be a paired BT device like my car and work as a mic/speaker?

Not true. If you want to secure it with competence then you separate the two domains, not connect them.

Which is why there will be a solar option.

What happens to encrypted bit torrent traffic? Why was I told that QoS can't account for that? Particularly L7.

A new PowerMac (renamed) that will have:
Two, Dual Core, Core 2 Duo processors
That's a mouthful! And too redundant.
Never mind my laziness! I found it. Heh, you'd figure if I can hdinitrd my TiVo I could at least find this information on my own. :)
Hmm, I have a DTiVo fully hacked. You got any links so I can get going with this solution you put out here? thx
