    They'll just use this to screw people out of even more money...

    First it'll be "Return of the King" then it'll be "Return of the King: Special Edition" with the scenes back in, then in a few more months it's be "Return of the King: Extended Edition" and a few more months after that "Return of the King SE: Extended Edition"

    I'm kinda surprise I'm not hearing more negitive comments about what they're doing with these movies.

    Linus can ASK the world to do something, but if they don't like the way he's thinking, they won't do it. Linus controls the world as long as the world likes the orders. So in a sense he's just a way to focus the desires of the majority of developers.

    Someone tried to explain Canada to me in almost the exact same way...

    ...but does that mean it can "Sync"??

    I'm looking into getting my first cell phone, but I want one that I'll be able to sync with my calendar, address book, etc... I don't care if it's not a full PDA - but if it has a calendar or whatnot built in to begin with, I want to be able to sync it.

    It seems that all the new phones only sync with the providers servers and there's no direct connection method... :-(

    As soon as I saw a picture of it, I thought:

    "Trasparency sheet, an ink jet printer and a 25W bulb on a wire from Ikea."

    O.k... maybe two sheets. :)

    I have no idea if it'll work, but it should be fun to try.

    But on the bright side, chances of mechanical failure would be greatly reduced, no? :)

    Tho' I still don't think that would be enough to justify it.

    I'm actually afraid to move to the higher Gig'ed drives, I don't backup enough now and larger drives will just let me put it off even longer.

    Having 30 Gig's die would be bad. Having 100 snuffed out could kill me.

    I've always thought that the next evolution of the desktop would incorporate all these features.

    You click on the clock to get your calendar, your address book and instant messenger are one and the same, etc...

    I'm not a coder so I've never really bothered to work out these ideas (what would be the point?) but it seems strange to me that I haven't seen anyone trying something similar.... perhaps I'm not looking in the right places?

    I've yet to find another game type that I enjoyed just as much. Standard TF (or TFC) just feels like it's missing so much....

    What messed me up was that I didn't know if the machines destorying Zion were actually happening or if it was another of Neo's dreams/visions of what might happen..

    I need to look over a copy of the script, but I also remember being confused as to the failed counter-attack took place "at" Zion or away from it at one of the "important" points they were talking about.

    So I was left with a really "huh?" as to if Zion is gone or is about to go...

    Alright, who will be the first one to dismiss something in Canada using the phrase:

    It's what I look for in any /. post that mentions Canada. :-)

    I actually tried to find this, I downloaded American Life about 6 times and each one was the actual song.

    Trust me, *those* got deleted... I think Madonna cursing into a microphone would have been much better then what I recieved.

    There aught to be warning labels on this stuff...

    "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages"

    I don't know the timeline that well, I'm just not *THAT* big of a Trekkie (Trekker?), but what I'd like to see is the start of the Federation... all done up with season long arcs through the episodes.

    But that's just me...
