Well, if I was on Britains side around 1776 I think that's about how I would describe it, yes.
Overthrowing the government isn't something the government should take lightly on, even if it worked out ok in this instance (I leave the debate about that to the trolls).
It's true that the book came out after the movie, but it's also true that you had to have read the book to understand the movie. It's not contradictory.
Another aspect of this is that if I allready knew everything on slashdot I wouldn't bother coming here to read the news, I expect most people feel the same.
To stay on topic I think it's great that Miyazaki and ghibli are finally getting mainstream recognition in the western world, lots of good movies from that source.
It's amazing how much innovation comes when a "real" game company starts using a touchpad.
I've been waiting for this a long time to come to my palm, but almost every game I can find is stuck using the buttons at the bottom. I've only found two games that make good use of the stylus.
Insaniquarium and that other puzzle(sp?) one that was a huge hit and I can't for my life remember the name of(you switch position on some sort of gems and they disappear if you get three in a row).
I can't really say that I agree with you, when thinking about complex structures(such as coding or a well thought through reply) I need to get what I'm thinking down really fast not to lose anything on the way. So even if it's (damn, lost my train of thought)
If they fired you to replace you with an illegal immigrant, can't you tell the police? I hear they work against this "illegal" thingie.
(You might of course not have wanted to work all that bad at the grocery store, and that's why not.)
About the original problem with offshoring I don't really have a solution. Otoh, some say this is what capitalism is all about, who can do the job for the least money while making a profit thrives(sp?). This has both bad and good sides.
A very interesting thing about the comparison in the end of the article is that he looks at all the different OSs as they are right now. Except for MS Windows, where he says, it has good chances of being secure when the next SP is released... Isn't this always the case with MS products? "we know something is f*cked up, but it will be fixed in the next version, promise!".
Maybe he's just propagating what MS is saying there though, since the rest of the analysis doesn't suffer to badly from this.
Hmm...I don't know who Ivan Drago is, but thank you, it was just a very unusual complaint that the american version had hard enemies, since the common thought was the opposite.
What? judging from your sig I assume your american and you may be interested to know that the enemies in the european version was made _harder_ because the american version was judged to easy. I don't think I tried a single area or boss more than twice before getting to the two last bosses (I played the european version and I'm not the kind to usually beat games easily).
I agree with you that there is a quite some way between savepoints and the way can be confusing, but it's definately not that hard getting to them once you figure out the way.
I think it would be better to have it as an extension, but distribute two different versions of the browser, one where a couple of commonly used extensions gets downloaded at the same time. And one barebones version for those that care about bloat. This way you'd have to keep the browser fully functional even without the bloat.
Maybe you could use machine learning to distinguish between what version different people should download(yeah, that last thing was just to bring the thread back on topic, I don't think it's a good idea).
A middle-road approach could be used for the original problem though. If the flashanims tagged "bad" don't get loaded, but get the placeholder "click me to load flash" and the ones tagged "good" get's loaded directly. My EverQuest guild has a flash menu on it's site for example, and I'd prefer to not have to click it every time.
So you're saying that if I send out spam and write it in the form of an contract people that start reading it have to read the whole thing since it contains info all over the place about the legality of reading it?
And if they don't read the whole thing I can sue them? wow!
It's definately against the EULA, which even forbids trading ingame items and chars for real money. Otoh I don't know if the EULA is enforceable in a court of law(whereever in the world your friend and buyers may be).

Afaik prior art doesn't mean it's patented before, but rather that it's been done before, which the wheel clearly fulfills.
Wow, these are really good, thanks for the tip.

Maybe that's because you have mouths in your eyesockets instead of eyes?

You forgot one,

Your finnish is seriously rusty since both your guesses were in swedish...
("Svenska" even means "the swedish")
Yup, that's the one(both times ;)

Maybe has something to do with my attention span.

Videogames don't make people violent, lag does.

Damn, now I have to read the article.

Cool, what other versions are there? I never knew about this.
Boot from a cd, other harddrive, have a patch program that runs under linux, etc.
Nono, this is what it's all about: http://www.deviantart.com/view/3249838/t ris sex...*drool*

Mmm...te
(disclaimer, just checked out what yaoi means, after writing the post, and I must admit that I was surprised, this is filthy I tell you!

Thanks, while still slow it only takes 50 seconds now, so it's bearable at least if you don't do it too often.
Yeah, I suspected that there was(probably still is) something wrong with the way we do stuff since nothing can be _this_ slow on a modern computer.
I don't have time to do some conversion as AC suggested since the progam is full of bugs(for reasons that shouldn't be there but still are)
