This. I'm not a reader of comic by any stretch of the imagination, nor am I religious at all. However, the idea behind this story sounds intriguing. Not only would it be interesting to see what Jesus would think of what became of His Gospel, but of us as well. The idea of him having a discussion with a superhero who is "worshiped" more than Him sounds fascinating... Especially since the "worship" would be of a completely different kind.
Imagine the discussion about superpowers? Gifts of God to a select few? Were they Chosen? Was it random? Did God have anything to do with it? Do superpowers make them "more" than Jesus is (given He can't fly, no super strength, no laser vision, etc). This would be an incredible analysis/discussion on what it means to be a superhero vs the son of God.
I can only imagine some of the other discussions and story arcs that might have come from this premise. A shame we'll never know.
If you can plug in a USB key, there's a much easier way to access the PC. Just install Kon-boot on the USB drive first, plug it in, and boot the PC. You're in. This works on Workgroup and Domain PCs, Servers, etc. Not sure what username to use? Try administrator...
As for the subject of the original article: way to go MS... EPIC fail. Can't say I'm surprised though.
Last year, my neighborhood gym went on a massive recruitment drive; 1 year memberships for all services for $200 (a great deal considering what was included). Needless to say, 3 months after they began, the place suddenly closed, no warning, no explanation given. I can only imagine how many people lost their money... the place was packed every night.
It is significant, but I think I have to point out the context here. This is not a Lastpass specific issue. ANY service that prompts for a password within the browser is subject to this attack. It just so happens that the Lastpass service is pretty damn important.
I think you might be incorrect... You are comparing one account's BALANCE to the average EARNINGS (interest paid) of the others. There is no mention of the cumulative balance of the other 40,000 accounts. I also admit that the author may have thought the terms were interchangeable - but they are not.
Come on people, why so much discussion and speculation? It is printed in black and white, plain as day:
Frostbite game engine footage representative of PlayStation 4. Not actual gameplay.
During the final few seconds where you see âoelearn moreâoe, the game studio logos, etc. Case closed. Discussion over.
Bad, BAD idea.
How do you ensure the police officer doesn't start rifling through your phone? You GAVE it to him/her, so you must have implicitly consented to their searching your phone.
I thought the PC gaming market was shrinking thanks to the console market. The fact that there is a new DRM system that has not been cracked is to be expected isn't it? DRM systems get more complex and sophisticated over time, so it's hardly a surprise that this one is taking longer to crack.
As a long time PC gamer (since the mid 80s) who has never owned a console, I've always bought my games. I LIKE having the box and the CD, and I have no issue paying for something that brings me hours upon hours of entertainment.
In the rare cases where DRM breaks the game (only seen it once personally), I just brought it back to the store.
I used to be a Mechanical Engineer. I decided to change careers when I was 32. Computers had always been a sort of hobby for me, and a topic I found interesting; although truth be told, much of my early exposure to PCs was gaming. I worried initially that doing my hobby day in day out as a profession would make me like it less.
Now, having been in IT for 9 years, I can say this: Best move I ever made. I go to work everyday and work on cool technology, solve complex problems, learn constantly - and get paid for it.

40 Decades... wow. He looks great for someone who is 428 years old.

from Jurassic Park?
Life... will find a way.
There is a great short story I read about 10 years ago: http://www.marshallbrain.com/manna1.htm/ that deals with this exact topic. The similarities are scary.
I think CloudFlare's comments are accurate, but I'm no expert.
Apple Executives were very vocal on the subject of how much courage it took to remove the home button from their phone.
In other news, other manufacturers celebrated their 5, 6, and 7 year "No home button on the phone" anniversaries.
This was my exact thought... so maybe I'll buy some and see.
Facebook altered its Terms of Service to the detriment of it's user base in order to make more money. That's not news, it's a day at the office.
I have two solutions for you (I use both): Noscript and Ublock Origin. These are the 2 best Firefox plugins ever made.
What a coincidence that would be... the closest star to ours. I think we just found the home of the Greys. Retribution will follow swiftly.
I can't say I've seen the benefits from v5 to v6...

Remember the big scare a while back about backdoors in Huawei network switches and routers? Looks like we weren't that far behind.
Why is anyone surprised?

Given their flagrant disregard for my privacy, I can't say I'm surprised.
