    I did www.corky.ltd.uk since www.corky.co.uk was taken. Let it lapse as LinkedIn is better for what I want. I can always get it back whenever I want since I own "Corky and Co ltd" in the UK. .ltd.uk was a very good idea, guaranteed to be free from squatters or name clashes as it is basically a copy of the companies house register which every company goes through before it can start trading. Bit since there's no money to be made from squatting and trading there is no money to promote it and .co.uk gets the attention.

    While we're on the subject of copying and law can the US please post a notice stating that their legal system was a copy of the UK's but they have been busy changing it for 200 years and it no longer infringes. Right under the HOLLYWOOD sign would be a good place.

    Easy - when the server NTP clock goes haywire then all the device synced to it will follow. It's unlikely but you can't rule out bugs in the NTP server. Better to have a clock that increments fairly accurately (quartz crystal in the device) and has an offset than a clock you can't trust.

    If I'm on life support and getting fed a drug at a certain rate to keep me alive I would like that rate to be accurate. I don't care what time the machine thinks it is.

    Because all of the employees that get a lower salary due to the agreement are also consumers. It also indicates that the companies are not interested in competing with each other to produce the best products by recruiting the best talent.

    Have you actually been there? London is dark grey and grimy, The sky is completely grey. If you overexpose that you get grey buildings, white sky and the only thing with paint on it is the bus. I don't think overexposing counts as art.

    I've gone to Sky, proper unlimited broadband that's a bit faster than a BT line since they are using their own equipment after purchasing Easynet + free phone calls (not to mobiles) + line rental at £26 per month. First bill came in at £29 after calls too mobiles. I was with Orange and getting a £38 bill per month. BT would be the same.

    It's a cost sensitive product so people will move around.

    I do digital design for a living and spend my money shot time looking a waveform traces. The wider the screen the better. It's also nice to be able to put a full page of a spec next to the RTL I'm writing.
