When these robots get good and smart enough such that it is simply unthinkable to pit one against a human soldier, and when both sides of opposing fronts start to employ these machines to do the fighting for them, then nobody will need to get hurt anymore! Contesting a territory? Robot army battle! The side whose army gets obliterated admits defeat and shakes hands with its worthy opponent.
I've been living in HK for more than a month now, and take the train (MTR) everyday to school. So far, there is not a time where I didn't see someone playing with a DS lite. I see PSP players too, but the DS players outnumber them about 4:1.
I own this phone. It had to be reset once in a while (runs out of memory), but apart from that it works great. I chose it based on the ff.:
- need to write SMS using 1 hand (numeric keypad) - fast typing when necessary (e-mail, posting on forums, writing notes, etc) via qwerty - excellent resolution: 352x416 (or 416x352 depending on orientation) / 16M colors - WIFI - good built-in browser. I alternate between it and Opera.
Probably the best feature I found _after_ purchasing it is that it can sync with our company Exchange server (Inbox, Calendar and Contacts). With wifi at home, I can schedule daily syncs without any fuss. All my appointments and mail get downloaded to my phone 2x a day without the need for user intervention.
The E61 is also a good alternative, having a bigger screen size (although lower res than the E70).
in saying that the Internet is destroying good music, but that it "has created a cold and impersonal world for artists to create new music in"? Maybe he has a point.
Then again, this may be good news for fans of 80s electronic pop. Domo aregatu, Mr. Roboto!
I'm in the should-have-been-more-action camp. The plot's definitely crap, so filling it up with action sequences will sort the movie out for the better. I also think the action choreography isn't too good, but if you had tons of them, you'd at least find one or two that will be visually memorable.
A recent spam e-mail I got had the title "A guuy srcews his sisetr froom beihnd". I'm surprised these spammers haven't used pig latin yet (then THAT would be really annoying).
I am a "mostly-Linux" user, and would be able to convert fully to Linux if the games I like to play run there. I am also a LOTRO junkie. I would LOVE to get a Linux port for the game.
Add me to the Relic (and THQ) fanbase. I think they finally nailed it right on the head with Company of Heroes - IMHO the single best RTS game to come out in the last 5 years.
Hayao Miyazaki?

It's war but in peace.
This curve you speak of is called the Uncanny Valley.
Can't stop the signal!

Then the terrorists have already won!

Aw c'mon, we all know it will only output 42.

I guess the guy who wrote this article is now under the witness protection program.
Rebecca: It's so bad it's good.
Enid: It's so bad it's gone way past good and back to bad again.
Firefox is the new IE.
Opera is the new Firefox.
IE is (will be) the new... Netscape?
Eventually, Opera will get the attention it deserves. Hooray!

I do like the humorous parts, though.
Bear in mind though that that $50 cheap Vista comes with bloatware.

It must hurt a lot after pressing the "Gerwalk Mode" button.
I agree. Now, can the same be said of Warcraft III? I think that would be a good gauge as to how Blizzard would approach SC2.

And don't forget the mullet.
at least I know it gets some hits.
If you keep doing that you're just level grinding.
But the detritus also leaches chemicals and metals into local water supplies.
They actually do that on purpose to achieve the ultimate Evil Villain rep. Plus they rape your cats on the side.
