That's what I always laughed at with these industry people, claiming it's lost revenue. Especially with now crappy music/movies are now adays, it's a gamble if it's going to be worth buying. Newest movie on BluRay runs about $30 (Canadian) that's a bit gamble on a movie. Or $25 for a non pop star cd (again, gamble if it's a worthy cd).
I've personally bought movies I've watched 100 times, because I've watched them 100 times. Same with cds I've listened to 100 times. If it came down to having to buy a movie @30 or cd @25 to see if I'll like it, I wouldn't buy it, I'd wait until a buddy had it, and borrow it. If I think it would join the 100 club then buy it.
The time of quality things being produced, is gone.
I get multiple recruiters too. Usually lowball wages, or requiring such an unrealistic list of skillset I ignore them. But a majority of stuff I recieve is people from India trying to be my buddy, or lobbying to give them a job.
Seeing people on scooters in my city, I'm not surprised they're in the hospital. Nearly all of them just zoom around, don't adhere to road rules. Then if you do hit one, media blames car driver with titles that read "car hits scooter".
I actually almost hit one today, driving south, put my blinker on to turn right onto a street. I get to where I'm about to turn the wheel, Scooter driving on my lane towards me and tries to left turn onto the road I'm on.
I see them also driving down very busy streets middle of the road. Cyclist attitude
It really was, especially with articles that were headlined "we have no idea why it's going up" and "people are mortgaging their homes to get into the act" and "75% of coins are held by like 5 people". Once those articles hit the street, the ponzie scheme was complete. They sold, dumped their coins and walked away probably billionaires
Agreed. I mostly watch or re-watch my favorite shows since newer stuff is usually rammed full of PC content. I've torrented all my old shows, I keep Netflix for the kid to watch kid shows. As soon as they introduce ads, I'll simply torrent the kids shows too. Sick of ads EVERYWHERE. I'm not marketable nor in the age group that'll buy the newest and latest because it's the newest latest. Besides, Netflix still can't stop my VPN for Murica Netflix. So suck it Netflix.
I got the notification on Win7 to go to 10. Clicked ok on my virtual machine. Went all the way through.... failed. Thankfully it was only a virtual machine, mounted my 7 ISO, reinstalled 7, then Never10. Problem solved. Even after they claimed they stopped pushing 10 update, I still see the update file appear on my 7 updates.
Spotify claims to have stopped hacked users. Users recieved message about account. Users upgrade their hacked app with latest hacked app. Continue streaming using hacked app.
Any job that involved email, off as soon as I walked out the door. My time is my time. Some have complained that I didn't reply at 10pm at night, I don't get on-call pay so I don't answer.
That's actually a good point. A buddy of mine writes songs, puts them on YouTube. Within a week a music company will claim ownership of the song and it gets taken down.
It would make sense. Once ol' Cheetos head started his witch hunt on Kaspersky, I saw BestBuy in Canada mark the products down to $5 (was even in a flyer). The following week when the flyer ended Ol' BB was proclaiming they yanked all copies off the shelf
So does BestBuy get a govt kick back for being loyal to ol' Cheetos head by marking down their copies of Kaspersky to around $5-$10? Then claim in a patriotic PR post that they enthusiastically yankrd them off the shelf
That's what does it for me, Netflix is moving towards their "original content" so older programs n movies gone. Amazon, least in Canada has a piss poor selection. Hulu geolocation for Yanks only. Only other choice to watch Magnum P.I on a Sunday afternoon is stream or torrent.
Agreed, if it's some latest crazed blockbuster movie, stream all the way. IF by chance it's good and I want to see it again. I'll buy it. I have all my favorite movies on Blu-ray, the problem has become once you see newer movies, that's it. You saw it, told people you saw it but never have interest to see it again.
Also, to have to remember that iFoneX is in hot water for terrible audio crackling or buzzing. So kickstart the slander department and find something wrong with another flagship phone. Mud flies!
You can look elsewhere other then SV but then you need 10 years exp in 2 year old software, be an admin, device ops, slash programmer and fit into their budget of 45k

I found that too. I put I was willing to move to certain cities. Recruiters ignored me. I changed my city to the ones I wanted, they reply

Remember Apple fanboys laughing at the Samsung exploding battery fiasco. Poor Apple Fanboys.

It's just slang, Grandpas don't know that hip jive talk these days.
Free for 7 days and $60/mth there after. I'm failing to see the free side of this. I curiously went to the site .
Yep considering its stationed in North Bay, Ontario Canada by Canadian soliders. Somehow has become Yankee military according to CNN lol

Sexual harassment is basically an ugly guy trying to get some. If it were her crush, she'd see him as taking the lead
If it flops they'll just ask for another 800 billion bailout. No real loss on their part.

Canada gets the models they can't sell in Yankee Land
I use an app called Truecaller, has the caller ID of people, others can ad info on cell #'s and report common spam #s (with the option to block)
