Most landlines won't disconnect until the sender hangs up. I learned this beauty last election cycle when robocampaigns would call and *not*fucking*drop*the*line* after I hung up right away. Two minutes later I picked back up and they were still going.
While cash can or cannot be accepted for transactions based on merchant preferences, is it allowable for a state to regulate that? Are there any federal regulations or others that may disallow this?
Felt the desk moving, thought it was a truck outside again. When it didn't stop after a second we were all looking around puzzled. Hoping everything at home is okay.
but I won't even contemplate buying a game with DRM because I just don't trust that I'd be able to play it long after it stops being the hit new thing.
You do know Valve has promised to patch around Steam authentication if the shit ever does hit the fan?
The PS2 was restricted for export because people thought Saddam would use them to build missile guidance units. We're using the PS3 to crack encryption. I can't wait to see what uses they'll think up for the Playstation 4. Nuclear simulation?
I wonder if this will affect Philadelphia also. We've been receiving advertisements in the mail announcing Earthlink as Philly's citywide wi-fi provider, but with Chicago and San Fran now stopped, and San Fran not seen as profitable, I find it hard to imagine that the Philadelphia city area will be as viable.
Just finished watching it, and I'm a smidge disappointed. I thought the first half set up an excellent backstory, but here, it's just "We attacked them, we lost, we're a power source," without any kind of expansion. It feels like this half just ended the story without trying to make any details beyond what we've gleaned from the first movie. Wasn't there a first Matrix that crashed and burned due to the people not able to accept it as reality? Was there any debate at all over how long the Dark Storm would last, unless they had some way to clear it afterwards? When did the AI develop the spidery robots?
While I think the Animatrix project has been pretty damn good, I think this one has fallen way short of expectations.
I think the "Drug War" opened up the laws that allow this. Basically, an arrest is made against the property itself for being involved in the crime, and I have no idea what the options are to get it back.
I've gone through the same deal, and I actually belive that checkbox is ignored. I made sure I explicitly unchecked that box, but AdAware still found all that crap sitting around on my machine, and it was definitely clean beforehand. Feh!
When the voices in your head are trying to sell you something, there might be bigger problems.

While it appears identifiable patient information isn't included, is there any way that this falls under HIPPA protections?
This is one idea that literally does have a chance of biting you on the ass.
You get one heck of a core dump. Hope you have clean underwear handy.

Wonder if this might relate to PA using Strawberry Shortcake in a parody of the style of games American McGee would make.
Anyone remember Robotrek for the SNES, which made you knock before entering other people's houses?

Do they burp when they're hit?
Where does one find faux wood grain paneling these days, though?
I just want whatever this guy takes daily. Seriously.
You just know Tom Servo and Crow are going to kick his ass for cancelling something actually funny.
The heartburn after chowing down on one of these has to be brutal. Where do you find a Rolaids or Tums to quench that sucker?
It looks like they've decided to put up. I don't have any source handy, can anyone post snippests of what sections we're looking at?
Dear SCO:
After reviewing your claims with our legal department and system administrators in extreme detail, we have come to the following conclusion.
Bite me.
Sincerely,

Yes, I do indeed love this country.
