I'm sure there is money to be made, I'm no conspiracy theorist( they're all true! ) but there are tons of spam filter, spam firewall, anti-spam this, anti-spam that.
As long as this is true, I doubt we'll see an end to it.
This doesn't bother me, not in the least. I can remember a day, when any use of the Internet to sell anything was abhorent. Advertising of any matter was viewed with disgust.
Now, due to the greedy bureaucratic fatcats who wish to tax the little guy to the bitter end, we might see a drop in pointless port 80 communication. (Present company excluded, of course).
that it turned out my support engineer hadn't done basic troubleshooting.
Sorry Timbo, or whatever the hell you call yourself, but sometimes the truth hurts. Because of your ineptitude of hiring at the very least, an incompetent engineer, this guy got a phone call at 3am in the morning to deal with crap software.
Probably he spent the remainder of the weekend getting the software fixed and back up to speed for "work as usual" on Monday morning.
Life sucks, and you're probably in the wrong line of work. Additionally, if you can't trust your support engineer, better do it yourself. *Gasp* You might have to work longer than 9-5.
Of course, perhaps ShellOil knows something you don't. Oh, I dunno, like the end of easy-to-retrieve surface hydrocarbons as we know them?
You might have to squeeze your chubby butt into this thing to go buy your donuts. Its not a question of a consumer-dependant market, its a question of the liquidation of a highly valuable limited resource. Standard market rules breakdown at that point.
I congratulate any team that can create this type of vehicle on an undoubtedly limited budget.
I predict there will be a great intellectual divide (interestingly, bypass normal "class" restrictions) for those parents able to provide their children with the tools of higher learning (computer) compared to those who cannot/will not.
In this way, in classic darwinism, the strong will survive, and the weak will work at burger king. If you disagree, thats fine, take a chance that I'm wrong, alternatively, supply your child with the tools to succeed.
I was given a computer at a young age, and I have provided my daughter with the same benefit.
Perhaps there should be a line drawn between your regular "data entry clerk" and your power user. I know my request to the putty suite installed on my computer is still in process, probably due to the IT department trying to figure out what it is.
*sigh* I take consolation in the fact that I'm getting paid in the meantime.
A corporation is an individual. Looks like they thought about that. Smart people we have to contend with here.
but TC-Aliens mod FTW.

Even MS benefits from it.

Bring it bimbo, we'll just encrypt and tunnel our connections. SSH FTW.
Capitalism has a cost; I doubt you'd care to hear it.

I say bring it, lets clean the fat off the bone.
Psh, like torrents are the only way to transmit data across the net.
You down with F.T.P.? Yeah you know me! Who's down with F.T.P?
uh.. sorry about the rap.
As much as we detest lawyers, it isn't bad when you have one on your side, or can learn from one.
Kudos Kurt!

Which I find to be counter-productive to anti-segregation.
but, that being said, I couldn't care less, and I'm not american.

more than one 8" floppy, duh
Perhaps you've never seen the danger zone by a horde of B-52's. Anywhere is close enough
uh yeah, so there is software out there, that logs how you type your password, to be used as a method of user identification.
Oh, I dunno, how about your.. PASSWORD
This must have come from the Department of Redundancy Department.
hahahaha ahh man, I don't expect any points for this, but that was just plain funny.
Reward this, by searching out the EMI catalog and buying a CD of a band you like. This type of thinking needs a reward to reinforce it.
Same brother! (or sister)
I do the exact same thing! Its good to see I'm not alone. I refuse to slip into the ignorant, "yes-sir" person.
What bothers me most, is those who stick their dietary opinion in your nose. So long as my calorie input is near my calorie output, I'll be fine
Now, time for another coffee
Lead the charge. Don't keep waiting on people to group up and then you can tag along.
Change starts with you.
...this finding sheds new light...annnnnd, you're fired.

Good lord man, treat every day like "April Fools" on the Internet
water is wet, birds sing.
