I have a system in my car. Stripped down Win98SE, Pentium 166MHz, 128 RAM (no virtual mem), 2GB sys HD, 40GB, Winamp 2.91, SoundBlaster, Keypad, 4 line/40 character LCD.
I have over 4,000 songs and it NEVER skips.
He's just doing it for the "coolness factor", I did it for practical use.
Novell didn't need Linux to survive. The fact is that Novell could survive for 3 years on their cash reserves if they stopped selling products & services.
Yeah, I guess it's okay to record a movie and take it home and watch it or copy it. I mean, who do these Hollywood people think they are? The actors, stunt people, directors, producers, makeup artists, writers, sound techs, computer animationists, etc... don't need to be compensated for their work. And those damn studios that commit hundreds of millions of dollars for movies - they don't need to see a return on their investments.
"Bad laws are bad. People who support them, vote them into existence, and enforce them are evil."
You know, terrorists don't seem to have a problem with murder. Does that mean that we should make murder legal?
I don't like to pay taxes. Should we make tax evasion legal?
Screwing people out of money is wrong no matter how you look at it.
The lesson is clear: stay out of movie theaters and you won't get arrested.
WTF is that supposed to mean? You should have put: "The lesson is clear: break the law and you will go to jail."
I'm tired of all of this petty whining BS. Yes, the MPAA can suck at times, but this is the law. Oh wait, I forgot. This is America - no one resposible for their own actions. I suppose it's the usher's fault or the policeman's fault that someone went to jail.
Get a clue.

Technically, it is a subwoofer. Many subs these days come with 2 drivers in an eclosure. This particular sub has many drivers, but it still is one sub. All of the drivers are in the same enclosure just like a regular tower speaker.
You don't refer to a 3-way speaker system as "three seperate speakers". Same thing applies here. This sub is made up of multiple drivers in one enclosure.
"Look at how many times local law enforcement gets caught with their hand in the cookie jar, changing speed limits, moving stop signs, and in general, making traffic laws become a big fat cash cow instead of a safety precaution."
I'm not aware of any town that lets the law enforcement change speed limits, move stop signs, etc... That's the city council's job - you know to create and change laws. It's called the legislative branch of your local government. The excutive branch (local law enforcement) does not change the law, it only enforces it.
My parents have had a local number that ends in "2020" since the mid 70s. Many optometrists (sp?) in town offered to buy the phone number from them. My parents refused though.
Original meaning of Broadband: Broadband refers to telecommunication that provides multiple channels of data over a single communications medium, typically using some form of frequency or wave division multiplexing.
Only recently has some morons (fcc) decided that broadband = fast. That couldn't be further from the truth. Simply put, broadband = multiple channels of analog signaling (frequency division multiplexing).
Chances are if we do get 10/100 access at home it won't be broadband. It will be baseband, which would be multiple channels of digital signaling (time division multiplexing).
...for those of you who think tracking kids is important:
Use this technology to send out "Amber Alerts" to cell phones. Make it voluntary. Not only can they send the text info on the abduction, they could also send a picture to phones with color screens.
As statements above say that a kidnapper would just throw away the cell phone. This would be one more tool to use when looking for a lost person. Maybe the service would even be free seeing how it is an emergency service.
In Iowa to vote you go inside your own booth will nothing but a pencil and a scantron sheet (like the ones you fill out on a standardized test). Fill in the circle and you're done.
Of course, the circle has to be completely filled in. But the again, if you can't fill in a circle then you probably shouldn't be voting.
Counting the votes is relatively fast. We usually know within 2 hours of the polls closing who has won.
Why do we even NEED an electronic system? What is wrong with the paper ballots?
I know you love to bash the moron in the White House, BUT Bush wasn't in office when deregulation took place. It was the President with his pants around his ankles: Clinton.
Believe it or not, Bush had nothing to do with it.
...stop showing trailers that shows the entire plot of the movie. Too many movies like "Sweet Home Alabama" had trailors that showed the entire movie in less than 1 minute.
During a conversation with a Compaq employee a few years ago I was told this:
We had to rewrite the computer manuals so that the phrase "any key" was replaced by enter (or spacebar or something. I can't remember exactly what replaced "any key")
The sad part is that every tech support employee has probably had somebody ask them about the any key.
This is something that bugs me. Everyone thinks that broadband = fast. It doesn't. Its a form of analog transmission/receiving. Technically dial-up is a form of broadband.
The BIOS doesn't recognize the whole 40GB, it only sees the first 8GB. But Win98 sees the whole 40GB and that's all that matters.

This was reported last year UHDV.
Don't forget about the Cisco SmartNet contracts. Sometimes those cost just as much as the equipment does.

Ohhhhhhhh.....SNAP!
It's sad that an AC was moderated down for telling the truth.

The brass and trumpet sounds are made by reed pipes. It only takes one pipe to create the sound.

Seems pretty smart to me: 1)Committ a federal offense. 2)Post the proof on the internet.

When will people learn? The ONLY meaning of broadband is analog transmission (frequency division). The term "broadband" has nothing to do with speed.

Your missing the point of the AC who replied to your first post. You disagree with reverse engineering. He wants to know why.
He then points out that if we didn't have reverse engineering that the PC as we know it today would not exist.
