    Answered repeatedly in the previous discussion... Supposedly it's because blender started out as an animation sequencer... Kinda hard to sync lip animation and actors' voices w/out audio sequencing stuff.

    Don't question the audio sequencing stuff, question the UI. It's a complete laundry list of everything that's wrong w/ software usability today.

    Opera has a very free version, using ads to bring in revenue. Other than the ads, there's no difference between the free version and the paid version.

    Opera comes with a mail client. It's weird but it reads my POP3 box just fine, thank you.

    Hint: if any of you honestly think that this project (whose original purpose was coordinating emergency response services and that I am most definitely not associated with in any way and anyone implying otherwise is lying) wouldn't be used to deprive you of your civil rights, then you need a savage beating w/ a cluestick. For starters, go look up COINTELPRO.

    As a society, we have a responsibility to provide a meaningful education. The Interweb provides many educational materials. Installing filters in school will prevent kids from looking up information on disease, history, guns, or politicians.

    The government is not being "good enough" by providing web access, they're doing the right thing. As Chris Rock said:
    1: (proudly) "I take care of my kids!"
    2: You're supposed to take care of your kids, you dumb motherfucker!
    Filters wouldn't be a problem if there was some sort of transparency whereby parents (taxpayers) could view what was being filtered.

    Well, this explains why I don't get any of those stupid SnowCraft emails anymore, Blizzard must have sued and shut them down!

    (SnowCraft was this silly game where you controlled three people and they're throwing snowballs at people who throw snowballs at you... Fun for about three seconds, then you're all like "stop sending me dumb stuff dammit!")
