Yeah, that would be equally as annoying, but I don't see how you could CHARGE for a takedown? It doesn't cost them anything to take down the stuff, but Toyota would be sending them a bill from their legal department. You can see a bill from a lawyer, but I don't understand how you could say "you owe $1000 per image taken down."
I'm not going to make an anti-apple comment, I'm not going to make an anti-apple comment...need good karma...must resist urge to...STEVE JOBBS IS THE DEVIL!!!!!!!
I started reading the article, and read about 6 words and couldn't keep going...I have the attention span of a goldfish, and it was already looking dry.
Honestly, I think it's a waste of money, and space to have 3 GPUs. I'm not sure if it's possible, but wouldn't it make more sense to just use 1 GPU for everyday ops and have the other one kick in SLI when you need it? That would be a more efficient way of pulling off the trick.
It looks like a cool little gizmo, but not for me until the resolution increases. Might be neat, like the linked article suggests, if you use it on your ceiling at night in bed.
I have always been afraid to shutdown the servers whenever it is not completely necessary. There are other ways to cut down on costs for most setups. I can't really think of a setup or situation where I would power down servers to save money.
because they are a moron and deserve their stuff to be stolen. Honestly, I can't think of a legitimate reason for posting pictures of your keys and credit cards on Flickr. Maybe it has to do with having an IQ below room temperature...
true but having a key would be a clean, easy, covert break in. It would be easy to get a picture of the key if you think about it, and knowing where it goes. The only thing is how easy and cost effective this technology would be. I still think it's kinda cool, but scary.
the cuecat was awesome, I still have 2 of them, and I actually still use them. Such an awesome little gizmo! There are some cool programs out there that work with it too!
I agree with you on all but the CEO part. If you are simply making the reference that a drop in gas doesn't do much for a wealthy person or someone in charge of an organization, I somewhat disagree. With more funds available in the middle class and lower class, more flow of cash will exist. It is reassuring when more money is exchanging hands. Do I believe it is going to provide an end to the recession, of course not. Sadly this recession has 2 factors that are very different than past recessions. 1: it is based largely on credit and 2: outsourcing is much more common. The first thing we need to do, in my opinion, is to provide tax breaks to companies that do not outsource their employment. We need to keep jobs here in the US that belong, here, in the US. These tax breaks need to be enough where they make it beneficial to keep their employment in the United States. Once the unemployment decreases, cash flow will increase. That $600 "economic stimulus" check most of us got in the mail was stupid. It was like a tiny band-aid on a enormous wound about to open up. It kinda relates to the whole give a man a fish/teach a man to fish, type thing.
You are correct, however, in Google's quest to take over the world, it the browser market really important for them? Don't forget many of Google's projects are funded by advertising.
yes but lets all look on the bright side while we are going through this shall we? If we all were looking on the bright side, we might end the recession all together...
My browser of choice is Firefox. I have it setup just exactly the way I like it, and some of the tweaks are not available in Opera. If they were, I would use Opera. The other browsers I use/have tried other than FF and Opera are: Chrome, IE8 Beta, and Safari. I can say I loath IE8 and Safari, and Chrome has a lot of useless features that are sometimes annoying. Google has a lot of work to do if they even bother. Opera is fast, and feature rich, and has a very modern feel. Firefox is Firefox, I don't think I need to explain that to anybody on Slashdot.
Actually it is a somewhat useful setting for those of us who respect copyrights. Programs shouldn't revolve around making it easier for you to steal somebody's property and not get caught.
It doesn't seem to say anywhere. I am pretty sure it said Picasa somewhere but I think it leaked more.
If you go to purchase it, depending on the configuration you can get it for well under $10000. More like $8000.

Yay! Google is one step closer to taking over the world. I wonder when they will start their own Google Army beta to finish the job?

Yeah, and it also states it can be easily turned off by "disabling the recommender in the Preference menu".
