    I live in Melbourne, Australia. I was able to watch the Seaon 1 finale of Game of Thrones 2 days before I saw the first advertisment for the series. The ad campaign was launched weeks before the series was aired here.

    When they account for the fact that 49% of people aren't in a position to be able to pay income tax, the should be paying *more* taxes, not less.

    Not that I'm weighing in on the side of the PHB, but aren't there laws that mandate that the corporation to maximise shareholder profit? Does that not mean that if they don't offshore, they can be taken to task for failing to follow this mandate?

    Actually it sounds like they realised they were going to sell the device at a loss, and implemented measures to minimise losses due to them not shipping many units.

    But, how many non-technical users' kids/friends are technical, and want to upgrade or recycle their hardware when it is no longer needed or used for its intended purpose? What might no longer cut it as a high end gaming rig can easily be repurposed into a meda centre, or RAID, or any number of purposes.

    How many non-technical people went 'Vista is shit, I want 7', and their kids chimed in with 'Get the full OEM version + a HDD, don't bother with the retail upgrade'?

    Many 'non-technical' users are able to recognise themselves as such, and defer to people around them for advice.

    We already have wearable electronics... have had for a while... Sony WalkMan, Apple iPod, etc... I'm sure the corporations that stand to make billions from these products will throw some money at marketing to try and work out how to make these devices 'cool'.
